Sure glad I own a "J" VIN Yaris ... no where near the problems U.S. assembled Toyotas are having.

Why? They're going to get fixed for free.

I would assume because nobody wants a fucking corolla.

But in all seriousness, you have to buy them that far back to make them work. The corolla books out for so much more than it is worth it makes paying wholesale for them and selling them for retail damn near impossible. Especially when you have so many other cars in the same class that are just as good for less money.

I really hope this recall shit with toyota gets NADA and KBB to finally start giving the Toyotas an accurate market value instead of this bloated shit they've been doing forever.

I'd rather have a Corolla that will be fixed for free than a Focus or Cobalt that doesn't have recalls.

The cobalt is a kids car, I don't mind the focus at all. They're a nice car. The new Hyundai Elantra is every bit of a car if not better than the Corolla and it comes standard with options the corolla doesn't and has better warranty. Not to mention cheaper.

I believe the current generation Focus is decent but like the Hyundai you're going to take it dry at trade in time.

I suspect if toyota continues with all the problems their book value will be affected as well.

At any rate I always speak from a "pre-owned" perspective so depreciation isn't as big of a factor as new.
