my sister-in-law used to be a teacher (retired now), and she carried a gun in her purse everywhere. She kept her purse in her desk drawer at school. Gun in purse, loaded.

what is it? if you put some sort of restriction on price businesses can sell at, people are still going to resell at a higher price because there's still people willing to buy it at that price. then you've just screwed the legitimate business owner paying taxes.

I work in the heart of downtown at the city hospital. No close parking and with 12 hour shifts I walk about 3 blocks in the dark. We are not allowed to have deadly weapons so all I have is a taser. .

Not really, it's a thick foam, usually dyed, and filled with pepper. So it burns, blinds and is hard to wipe away.
