Another Fun Sunday, 6-29-03

We had a good crew here this Sunday, definately lots of fun. I have not downloaded or uploaded any video yet but I figure that we have PLENTY...lol.

Started out with some gym work.

Rack deads from 16.5"
several warm ups
405 x 1
495 x 1
585 x 1
675 x 1 (all raw)

St Calf Raises
45 x 20
45 x 30

Conan's Wheel
several warm ups
600 x 1 turn (not wanting to push my injuries yet)

Medley
550 yoke 25', 550 tire 25', 400 duck walk 25', 425 sled 25'
hard, VERY hard but finished in 47 seconds.

Hercules Hold
300 pounds each x 36.xx seconds (VERY hard)

That was basically it for me. On my way back slowly but surely. Little stiff today and pretty sore at the moment. I will do my best to upload some vids late tonight.

Hercules Hold. I can't remember her exact times but I believe that she did hold 150 in each hand for 21.xx seconds on her LAST run!!!!

She has light streaks now...I love it. She has been either playing soccer or swimming in the pool a couple times a week this summer and she is Browner than a Biscuit... She has lost about 5 pounds or more too...looks HOT!!! Finer than a frog hair...

every time i see b in person i swear his arms are getting thicker.

and something else most people who dont get to train with him dont know....... this man is veiny..... everywhere. calves, quads, hams, arms chest and delts......... he is so much more impressive in person, and Kingc_79 was right, he could motivate a log!!!!

yeah i figured it was approprite since everything on me still hurts like that, and im missing 3 layers of skin off my forearms from the stones.

here was my totals on everything from the Last Training Day and from yesterday.

Viking Press - Last April i did 215 x 9. /This time i did 225 x 14. then did 250lbs for 5.

Conan's Wheel - Was 460lbs for a quater of a turn / this time i did 500lbs for 1 full circle and a quater. then did 600lbs for a quater.

Medley (DESPITE WHAT B FOLD MAY EVER SAY THIS IS THE WORST THING EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
[also my first time doing it] 550lb yoke for 25 feet. 550 tire for 3 flips. 350lb duckwalk for 25 feet. 400lb sled for 25 feet. (i almost passed out and puked on myself)

Hercules Hold - was 200lbs each hand for 30 seconds. / now its 250lbs each hand for 31 seconds.

Stones - previous i only loaded the 230lb stone, and could load the 245 stone / yesterday i loaded the 160/185/190/230/245/and had the 265 3/4ths of the way up but just couldnt finish it. my quads were fried(along with everything else)

so i set a pr on everything............it doesnt get much better than that.

Just let me say these guys did an incredible job sunday. I was so proud of them. Just watching them helped to keep me motivated....not to mention bfold's constant screaming and hearing him tell me "this weight is yours" made me work even harder! He is the best motivator exodus and I have ever had the privilage of meeting..not to mention an overall excellent man!!!! Bfold you are so strong and the way your family and Nefi support you I can see you making far beyond what you imagine! Great job on the medley. Impressive!!

King_c continues to amaze me at the weight this boy can push. WOW!
Exodus you totally did an incredible job. I was blown away by how much improvement you made from the last training day. You pushed yourself until you were ready to vomit!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Jason you are looking better and better everytime I see you. Great job! You seem to be continually getting stronger!!!!

YEA!!! Spatts noticed my delts!!!! Yeah baby....i knew they would eventually get some growth....:garza:

I've said it before and I'll say it again......medleys suck. Everyone did great. It should make for a good competition. Brian747478, good job on the viking. I need to work on those alot. Exodus gave me a severe beating on them yesterday. By the way, how much are you weighing these days.

Oh its definately the place for pr's... I totally agree with you on the duck walk....I actually shredded my hamstrings with that one!! Actually the whole medley sucks!! LOL Atleast I finished it with 4 seconds to spare :) Great job on your pr's...You have always impressed me!!

yea it was a great day, but yep the duck walk sucked.(i hate medleys lol) i need to improve on my viking but all in all i'm pretty satisfied. we had a great training day with alot of impressive lifts. trinity really showed alot of heart out there. very impressive. b's leg must be really coming along on the healing process b/c he was really impressive out there doin those events. made them all look too easy. And jason also made that conans wheel look so freakin easy. he's a machine on this event. everyone did well i thought, cant' wait till contest day....i was so burnt out at the end of that night when i got home.

Ok...this is it...honestly.

Tuesday at the end of my ME upper day and right before abs...I do 5 sets of 10 on curls with the mini band. I do them like a regular curl, hammer style, rev grip, to the side, and hammer to the side. On Thursday, DE upper day, I do the same.

Honestly...I just think that it is where I am constantly maturing. My muscles are maturing and my body does not want to put on much more muscle. Anything else that I put on...is just solid, mature, in shape, muscle...if that makes much sense.

for someone who studied bodybuilding for about 8 years i completely understand this. its something that you will only recieve by withstanding the test of time in the gym.

yeah......... i finished the medley......... but i did it in 2 minutes. we only have a minute and 15 seconds. so i have got to build up my conditioning fast. and my goal come day of the contest is to press that 225lbs 20 times.

lol, funny our goals are close. the conditioning i need also, but i'm hoping to press that 200lbs for 3 maybe.(damn my ohp sucks)lol

yeah........i was 260 the day i was at B folds.......... but im starting to get serious on the diet from now on out........ i'll i have to do is eat clean and lay off the cokes.......... i should be fine.

So, if I understand correctly, at Bluegrass, everyone that weighs 201-250 will compete against each other. Is that right?

How does the NASS weight classes figure in, then? I was trying to stay in the 225 and under class. Should I not worry about that?

ya got me confused now, i thought u compete against everyone in your class ie: 175,200,225, etc for 1st , 2nd...i thought the light, mid, and heavy was just a way of arranging weights for all events:confused:

You're interpretation sounds reasonable, though.:)

kingc is right.

if your 175 and under thats who you compete against. then the 200's/ 225's/250's/275's/300's/ and super.

175-200 is lightweight. 201-250lbs is middle weight. 251 to super is heavy.

so you have individual classed. but joker........ you could either compete with the guys at 250lbs.......using certain weight...... or you could drop 25lbs and compete in the 225lbs and still use the same weight..........

i hope that made sense.

Exodus has it right...BUT I will also be giving out awards for Overall Heavy, Overall Light, and Overall Middle... :)

I have 16 entries in my hand, 4 more say that they are on the way for sure. I REALLY need 25 people... I have talked or heard about 5-6 'possible' competitors...but nothing definate yet.

come on guys, theres still time, there's no reason he shouldnt have 25 ppl there. i'm hoping to get ya two more this weekend, but one is definite, we'll just have to see how events go on sunday for the other to decide.
