Cheese is good motivation for me...watching him train and grow..and listening to him just be...ummm...Cheese...keeps it all entertaining...

The other day he informs me...and has done so about 20 times since...that is is FINALLY getting a butt. He likes to complain about it a lot and is not for sure if he likes it (may have to buy new clothes) and is nearing 250 or more on the scale. He loves it...just likes to complain...lol.

Today he set a couple of PR's also...big butt and all...lol

He got:
438 on GM's
315 x 2 on high bar squats (have never done a single before)
275 x 7 (This should be motivation to EVERYONE!!!!)

I also found this video clip from last week doing box squats. He was warming up with 135 (takes him FOREVER to warm up...lol...old man) and I chose to "root" him on just a bit...lol

I guess i won't post a pic of my warmup exercises anymore... I don't think my 20 reps of Grass-Grabbers and Mountian Climbers are that interesting.

Excellent work B Fold!!

That good morning was insane. I was really impressed with that 495lb deep squat!! It looked really easy. It drives me crazy that you perform singles. . . . .I want to see some reps!!! I bet you can get at least 6 reps with 495lbs. Anyway, keep up the good work.

I really encourage everyone to try the GM's, reverse hypers, and straight legged abs...with bands...they ALL work!!!

How do you tie the bands around your ankles in the reverse hypers? What is the setup like?


Problem is I do mine on a hyper bench, kinda adhoc'ed . I can tie some plates to my legs

Hmm..I just put my ankles through them. I have a bolt in a piece of wood on the wall in front of my rack. I put a clasp through the bolt and loop the band through the clasp...

Does that make sense???

Common sense question of the day for you? How did you get your video onto your computer and onto this site. Feel like being a teacher today? Did you use a camcorder, digital camcorder, etc?

I video them on my digital camcorder...then plug my camera into my video card and record it through the ATI Video Recorder that my computer has. From there I take that file and compress it through Windows Media Encoder. I then upload it to my website www.clintdarden.com and post the link to that video here on Elite.

That definitely helps. I hope to get a few things on Elite real soon. Nothing extravegant but fundamentals for the youngins. Thanx big guy.

BTW, love the grunts and moans...bignate has some interesting ones of his own...;)

Does the bands slip down to your knees?

Well I do mine on a hyper bench, SO I guess I'll slip some minibands around the vertical metal bit and hook em on my feet. Plus I'll tie some plates around my ankles ;)
