Another dumb HST question

If on my first set I do X amount of weight. Should I do the same amount on the second set for less reps, or with rest in the middle? Or should I lower the weight and go for the full amount of reps on the second set?
Just to clarify - I cannot do the same amount of weight on the second set, I am talking about the RM max for that amount of reps.
 
Use as many "sets" as you need to finish off the number of desired reps. 1x15, then 1x8 - pause, rack the weight, don't go to complete failure, unrack and go again. If you get only 3 more reps and start to feel like you have one or two more, rack the weight. Break as long as you need. Unrack and repeat this until you polish off the reps you need - do not go to failure. Avoid it if you can, because it will impede recovery.
