anavar doses for getting taller in teens?

majutsu said:
There is some truth to the idea of anavar increasing height. Anavar, marketed in the US under oxandrin, is indicated for growth retardation. Anavar was found to be equally effective to growth hormone with less side effects and less cost. It's widely used in Turner's syndrome for this purpose too. It turns out that anavar causes amazing spikes in growth hormone release, yet another amazing property of this amazing drug.

I have done this many times for patients in my practice. Furthermore, my own son had growth retardation (25%-my mom is like an elf . . . ) so we used anavar under supervision at age 8 to bring him to 75%. I wish the pediatrician had made him an NBA player so that dad (me) could retire and just workout!!

The dose was 2.5mg/day for a year. If you go heavier on the dose, the androgenic properties of anavar come into play, and you will fuse the growth plates making you shorter. There was no advanced puberty or other problems. Blood cell counts need to be monitored, but they were never a problem. The only thing is your friend is like 9 years too late for this. You are supposed to be like 7 or 8 years old. It might help a little now, but there can't be much benefit at this age.

Good luck.

hey maj, i'm sure a higher dose would still NOT lead to plates fusing, anavar does not aromatize at all, and its not the androgenic properties of a compound that cuase that, it is estrogen...

The pediatrician said high dose anavar will lead to premature puberty in most cases. Premature puberty causes early growth plate fusion. I didn't really question it. I didn't want to give my child 2.5mg of var very readily, let alone think of giving 50mg because of some internet poster. I haven't investigated it. I wouldn't imagine they studied whether high dose anavar in normal kids causes short stature . . . Why would they? What kind of nut would risk this? For what? If you have a studies or arguments I would be curious for knowledge's sake.

What I thought was cool about this was that low dose var causes growth hormone spikes in all people it has been shown. Anavar is used for growth retardation in genetically normal kids, ulter, like my son, not just turner's. They treat the short height for social reasons. And even adults have the growth hormone spikes with low dose var . . . Get it? This is of great interest to me . . .

Growth retardation is still a medical condition. The man's brother wants to use it to grow and has no condition. Growth hormone does not translate into gaining two inches in height. Or even to mm in height in people without a growth disorder. There are no reports of AIDS patients being taller after years of GH supplementation. And they take up to 18iu/day.

I understand that the poster was a little magickal in his thinking ulter. But if normal adults get GH spikes with anavar 2.5/day, then even though they can't grow because they are adults, the still get a low-cost GH cycle for muscle growth and fat loss, don't they. What about low-dose var, insulin and IGF for a very anabolic PCT cycle? Would this work? That's where I'm going with this.

i wish some of you people would actually read a thread before bashing. The ONLY question this guy asked was if anavar would stimulate bone growth in a person who has not yet had growth plates fused.... plain and simple.
he never said ANYTHING about growing 2" in 8 weeks.. that was another poster who started that...

the answer to his question is :
anavar will stimulate linear bone growth in children, that's why anavar was created.
will it help his brother ? not sure, but i dont see why he shouldnt try it, it couldnt hurt him at moderate doses

The gh benefit is so minimal it's almost immeasureble. Go back and look that what those spikes really translated to in terms of actual circulating GH. It's kind of like when people read that Armidex raises T levels and think all they have to do is take Arimidex to grow.

I have often recommended low dose oxandrolone for PCT. Most people won't spend the money. I do not recommend IGF-1 supplementation. Too many possible side and unproven benefits.

Ulter please elaborate. im only asking because soooo many people have been pushing igf now that i want to know what it really does/is. the way people make it sound is, like its great and no sides. and you said that one should not do igf at all,so i want to hear the other side of the arguement (your side). also you said too many possible sides, and from what ive been hearing the sides are rarely mentioned or quickly skimmed over. also you said unproven benefits, and again i feel this is true since all the evidence ive seen of the benefits are anacdotal.

hey guys, my little bro is 17, never touched anything, works out hard, and he actually got offered a modeling job for a major department store...! awesome im prouda him, his only prob is, hes 5'9!, and for the job he has to be at least 5'10"-5'11 like me.... i feel bad for him and i know his plates arnt closed, ive done enough juice to know that a little anavar wont hurt him, but ive never used anavar w/height being my goal...?? does anyone know a recomended dose if he just wanted it to speed up his growth vertically???? any info would be greatly appreciated.!!!!!!!!! thanks guys..

No.

As for long term use ... In the 1970's cronic arthritis was treated with low dosage, eod administration of anavar. People took it for this condition for years without reported damge.

The introduction of new meds eliminated this practice.
