I wouldn't recommend a Test dose of under 500mg even for a first cycle. Test at 500mg per wk and Var at 40mg ed should work nicely. For the first 8wks of my upcoming cycle I have included both Test and Var. It is as follows:

first 8wks
Test Prop 150mg ed
Winny 50mg ed
Var 50mg ed

Disagree. 500mg test, 40mg var is way too much for a first cycle. Going under 500mg in test for first cycle is just fine. You should still make good gains, and it leaves you with room to grow.
