I posted a thread recently where there was a look of great feedback on various training regimens. Here it is...

http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/showthread.php?t=312380

I picked up a lot good information in that thread that I'm now incorporating in to my routine. Now there are plenty of books out there on AAS, diet, nutrition, supplements, etc. but I haven't seen many out there that cover a good cross section of training programs ranging from cardio fitness to powerlifting and strength to contest prep. I think equally important to diet and nutrition is the quality of one's training program.

So many people I see at the gym use improper form and technique with the wrong exercises. Many of them are just clueless. They bounce the weight off their chest thinking they're accomplishing something of significance. These are the same people who couldn't press half the amount of weight they're bouncing off their chest if they used the proper form and technique.

People like needsize, Omega, Quad and even bulldog :) along with many others all having the training knowledge to pull this off. If there were a way for them to compile what they know and have learned into a useable and reader friendly format with categories and sub categories I would certainly buy it. Anyway, food for thought to the higher ups here at EF.

Aaahh but then I'd have to quit driving them nuts with questions.Be nice to have it at fingertips instead of doing search all the time.

It sure would and I think it would be a good seller too.

Braun.

What I meant was.......

There is a boook about Training, entitled "Braun". Its excellent.

I am convinced, more and more, that for many guys, manyreally dedicated guys..... the lack of better gains is due to improper diet first, and too MUCH training second. For all but the rare genetic freak, most guys can NOT train as heavily and as frequently as many do and get good gains.

elite is coming out with something along those lines, and have asked me to help out

I've been toying with the idea of writing something. Been busy with school and work though...Maybe in May I'll get started on a rough draft.

Good idea JA.

So in regards to training you operate under the premise that less is more?

Just an observation: But last nite at the gym at around 6 pm sort of crowded..seemed to be lots of people just hanging round on machines talking it up with friends..no one sweating of course..i would finish my set look up same clicks of people with no sense of routine..i banged out 12 sets for delts plus 4 sets of traps in about 40 mins, sweat pouring down and im outta there..with the exception of 1 or 2 other guys didnt notice anyone really hitting hard..whether or not 9 sets is best or 20 is best either way i think you need to have the intensity there..granted people fall into ruts and dont always have the intensity but i think if more concentrated on their workout instead of socializing they would see better gains..again this is just my .02..

Hey, I think Arnold was great, and had a great physique. However I think that Arnolds books, such as that one, are just all wrong for 98% of guys.

Most guys, if they trained anywhere NEAR the frequency tha tbooks like this suggest, would be in a chromic state of overtraining.

Its not that "less is more" per se. Its that most guys do far far too much.

Yep - totally agree with you Riker. I love that book and train basically in that same manner as I am all natural. That book was written for all natural trainees.

But I think a lot of guys here have an advantage with juice and can handle a higher workload and even benefit from one. What od you think?
