That guy was one hell of an athlete. He beat their power with lightning quick speed, agility, and great body control.
 
They should bring 2 scoops back out from prison then. let him wear his prison gear and ruin the new flock of gladiators
one of my employees tried out to be a gladiator in vegas...he didnt make it..:(
 
i hear the new gladiators are f'n out of control. they are vicious and brutal on the contesatants. one guy went to a taping and posted that. can't wait! they said it was like watching pissed off ufc guys kickin the shit out of them.

i dunno. they said they were totally punching and kicking the contestants. who of course had tons of gear on them to protect them.
 
great show, lol @ the size difference between the gladiators and the contestants...

the NY FD was great.
 
Some of the gladiators def. have some size. I doubt they will ever cast dudes bigger than the gladiators they dont want to get embarressed.

Only medium sized guys can generally pass all the tests. They set it up that way.
 
Years ago in the early 90's they had try-outs and a friend of mine went to try out. He posted the best scores there out of 100s of people and was ranked first. They told him "sorry kid, you are first, but just aren't good enough".

6 months later he was handpicked for the Olympic bobsledding team because of his size, speed and leg power. Later during an interview at the Olympics when they asked him what he wanted to do post Olympic, he stated he wanted to be a wrestler. Ric Flair was watching and heard it, contacted him, got him enrolled in the Power Plant and a WCW contract.

He did a guest cameo on the Tonight Show and while talking about the American Gladiators rejection they had arranged for the show to call and offer him a chance to compete on their show again. He told them to stick it up their ass.
 
chick busted her head open and they showed the blood and cut. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhooooo. Waste of my time. Although I did dig the show in the 90's at 3 am on a sunday morning after the bars
 
the camera angles and shooting it as if its a movie rather than a sport really made it suck

the new announcer is horrific

it seems extremely staged

as mentioned before, the overdramatic back story crap on the competitors is just annoying

looks like ill just keep watching the real american gladiators on espn classic
 
yea i do think they hype up each contestant a bit too much but overall i like the show. When i lived in New York i used to go to a place called Action Park in New Jersey. it was a water park but they made this American Gladiators event thing where they had the opticle course and everything. my friend and i were always on the top as #1 and #2. they also had an event with the joust and they had these huge gladiator guys. if you beat the first guy you went on and had to beat the second guy who of course was the biggest of them all. i beat the first guy because i caught him off balance but got my ass handed to me from the second guy. they eventually got sued for copyright infringement and had to change it to American Warriors. then it just didn't seem the same. but man did i love seeing my name on the top of the list and then performing in front of a huge crowd.

After watching the show, I'm kinda doubting that.
 
Man this show is funny as hell ! I laughed my ass off when you had the 2 women in the main event in which both of them were so exausted. The one girl was like way behind and she ended up winning it cuz the other girl couldnt even make it up that moving ramp at the end.
 
I haven't watched it yet. I hear the beautiful female MMA fighter Gina is in it. Someone post up some pics.
