Am I Screwed?

I went to the doctors today for a checkup, The doctor kept commenting on me saying I'M very muscular. So I went in for a spleen test. She ordered blood work at the end. I did the blood work then she explained to me that they test for testosterone. She asked if i take anabolic steroids, I said NO.
I told her i used the patch ( Androgel ) which was precribed to me a year ago for low testosterone. Im wondering now if those tests come up with a high test value, will my insurance carrier drop me ? or anything else can happen with the blood test ?

She should not be doing blood work you do not agree to. they are not allowed to pull a "sneak attack" you are not in jail or on probation. Are you?

How can they do anything if the patch was precribed.

They will probably find out theres no way the patch could produce certain chemicals or test in certain amounts.

Say Nothing , Say You Take Trib And Other Supps And Bring Info And Back Up Research On Them- Doctors In Usa Are Mostly Dumb On Gear-

Your A Free American Bro, U Can Tell Her To Shove It-

bro, don't worry. First off, your Dr isn't going to tattle on you as a matter of fact I reccomend you (and everybody) tell your Dr you're on gear. It gives them a heads up to watch for things that they may otherwise miss. They can't by law tell anyone. If you don't feel comfortable with your Dr knowing, get another Dr. Mine knows everything and makes sure i get my bloodwork done and even prescribed my tamoxifen for some gyno I had, although it didn't clear it up and i ended up under the knofe (which he made sure insurance paid for). having a great relationship with your primary dr. is very important.

Dont worry bro, your doc is not going to call up the insurance company to tell them you have High test levels and she suspects you of using steroids. Only to have the insurance company say oh we should drop you and oh by the way we arent going to cover the prior tests because they were due to your "abuse"

So no you shouldnt have any problems.

In a perfect world this would be good advice. But we don't live in a perfect world. Every doctor I have gone to in the past few years have you sign away your right to keep your records confidential. They will give this to insurance companies mostly but from my reading it doesn't exclude law enforcement. ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS deny the use of anything illegal. Especially steroid use. You will be fucked by your insurance company and most doctors will screw you to the wall because they think they are getting vermin off the streets. Don't cop to shit, always say no I didn't do anything.

I have an HMO that has many rules I am supposed to adhere to, as is my doctor. I take good data from everything I do and I show him research papers to keep him up to date. Because what I do works for my problems, chemo rehabilitation, and I can document that it is working without adverse side effects he just asks me what I want to do. I told him I didn't want to put him an ethical bind so I just don't bring it up and he doesn't ask. He has watched a half dead fifty year old chemo patient become large muscled and rock hard. I think for him he looks at it as an experiment that he is observing. And so far it is working. I still have problems from the chemo, peripheral neuropathy and type 2 diabetes, but what I am doing is working to keep this under control much better then the other drugs you get for these problems. Actually there are a few doctors that treat type 2 diabetes with testosterone. And with much success I might add.

just keep it quiet man. What's the point in divulging personal stuff to the doctor that it's illigal I might add.....U guys crack me up

Dude, you think doctors are idiots? They know those stupid patches don't do diddly squat and they know that you don't have low test.

You just tell her you don't want blood work period. And why the hell did you go see the doctor anyways? And why didn't you stay in your t-shirt? why did you reveal your body.

How big are you anyways?

agreed 100%

My doc is an environmental freak that is anti everything. She's even anti Whey Protein, godforbid she knows about gear. LOL

just say you're using OTC prohormones. Blame the friggin FDA.

Patient / Doctor Confidentiality only applies when the matter/case is legal. When there's legal issues occuring, the Patient or Doctor is forced to comply with the law.

i was never clear on this , but the other day i saw my doc, for some anti anxiety meds and mentioned that I toke. he said "I'm not gonna write that down in your record, most docs would, but i'm not" He proceeded to tell me the negative ramifications of that being out there, so from know on, i'm denying it until I croak.

They can only turn over thgis info by court order. The courts aren't going to lean on your Dr to turn over your records because they think you're on gear. You could call the police and tell them that you saw your neighbor pumping gear into himself and they'd just laugh at you for thinking they care.

They can and will put it in your medical record if you tell them, but they will not tell anyone. However if you give someone permission to view your medical records they will see what your doc has written in your records. Ask your doc not to put it in your records.

I wore a loose shirt but even the XXL ones are tight. Im 6 1 260 lbs.. I was told to take off my shirt. She said you have no problem gaining the muscle and laughed. Then she went to tell me anabolic steroids can cause all this and that. I went in because i was having severe pain in my abdomen. She ran all these blood tests, I really dont know what to do except wait it out. I dont want my insurance carrier dropping me because my family is on the policy and Im the holder.

the sleep syudies are the biggest east coast scam going on right now

do a test go to the doctor about anything a doctor in ny nj or ct and they will send you for a sleep study if you have good insurance, insurace will pay the sleep study center 3-6k for the 8 - 10 hour work and the doctor gets a hefty kickback

everyone i know in the past year that went to the doc was sent for a sleep study

Sleep apnoea and related fatique is costing the community hundreds of millions in the way of accidents...

80% of all accidents on the road are due to fatigue. Add the obesidy epidemic and we have a time bomb.

Unfortunately, bbers have high BMI's, which is what doctors look @ in screening who has the likelyhood of Sleep Apnoea.

Sorry, i work in sleep medicine :P
