Am I being strung along by girl ??}

I wonder if I could get some opinions on whether I am wasting my time with this girl.

Here's whats happened.

Cute chick is chatting with one of my friends in a bar, she says to him that she thinks I'm cute and asks him to introduce her to me. We chat for near enough an hour, seems we were getting on really well, I ask if she is seeing anybody, she isn't, I ask if she wants to go out for a drink sometime, she says yes definitely and gives me her phone number. Couple of days later I text her asking if she wants to go out sometime, she replies saying yes she would love to and Wednesday next would be great for her. I texted her back saying I would give her a call Wednesday afternoon to arrange going out.


So day before I am supposed to call her I get message saying "Really sorry but I'm not very well so I don't think I will be able to make it tommorow, can I give you a call next week to rearrange ?"


What do you think ?, polite way of saying she's not up for it ? Genuinely ill ? Or busy and has other plans and wants to postpone ?
