I dont think it necessarily means a woman is being a golddigger as everyone is suggesting. It just means that they want someone who has a purpose in their life. Their career. It doesnt have to mean you make a lot of money, it just means you have something that you try to accomplish while you are alive, and work hard to do so. Security yes, but not entirely. Who wouldnt want someone like that?

Personally I'd prefer to stay at home with the kids , but I honestly couldnt care much , I'll probably get stuck with the desk job or some company shit which is ok 2 , no big deal.
But yeah ,that line means "I don't want u 2 think I'm shallow but u gotta be makin the bucks".
