Anyone else deathly allergic to dust? My throat feels like its closing as we speak.
Lumberg and I just spent 2 hours cleaning out our huge bedroom closet and other stuff in the bedroom. there was so much dust from stuff being jammed into the closets that my allergies have said OH HELL NAW BITCH. I have left the bedroom but my throat is fucked. I may take a benadryl but i will likely be passed the hell out soon thereafter.

Anyone else suffer terrible allergies?

other than dust, Im highly allergic to dogs.

I was tested for hundreds of things to see what I was alletgic to and dust was the only one I had a slight allergy to. I still don't beleive the Dr. who administered it. But anyway... I don't get those symptoms you've described because I'm probably just way cooler than you. No big deal. I wouldn't worry about it.

They wanted me to take these shots every week for a couple of years! wtf? NO!

It all started when I had a cough that wouldn't go away for months. Hence the hundreds of tests.

Good luck smurf. I installed a HEPA filter on my HVAC system, and some UV lights.. blah blah...

I hope you don't die.

I used to get the classic spring/summer allery attacks and a few years ago I took some Claritan. They kinda went away for a few years, I noticed it yesterday though...

Can you get just a stuffy nose from allergies to pollen? Tree pollen?

sure
there are a gazillion symptoms you can get when exposed to allergens
around dogs i get stuffy nose, watery, swollen eyes, and my throat gets scratchy and swells up inside
dust i can get the same thing sometimes but today i mostly just have the throat thing going and its pissing me off

(i took a benadryl)

i developed vasomotor rhinitus last may. it felt like i was swallowing razors everytime i swallowed for close to 5 months. astelin nasal spray cleared it up but i was on it for 8 months.

my eyes have been irritated this year.

if you die can i get some of your karma?

Yes, that is what I hear. I wanted to know if you can get just a stuffy nose with no other sysmptoms from pollen. Seems like when we go out back for prolonged periods, we get stuffy noses by the next morning. No other sysmptoms. Middle of spring... now summer. We've got huge trees in the back and that green stuff (powdery stuff?) that falls from them might be getting inhaled or something.

Anyway, no watery eyes or scars.

I call BS on Lumberg "cleaning".
It was a "planned" joint activity. he is very much into doing things/projects together so I knew he'd go for it - instead of me just telling him to clean up.

so he went to take a nap at 1:15 and i said, ok at 2:30 i will wake you up and we can do the bedroom closet cleaning together. he promptly smiles with joy in his eye and claps his hands together saying "yay" like a little kid. its cute.

joint efforts work out better because he needs me to keep him on task otherwise he gets very easily distracted and a 2 hour project will take him 3 times as long and he wont finish.

Yes, my son is the same way.

Wait, who are you talking about? ha jk.

I know exactly what you mean. I like planned activities as well. To me, it's the extent something needs to be done. How far do you go in "cleaning" or whatever you're doing? If I do it with a partner, we're in it together. We can both 'decide' right there, instead of one person 'expecting' something out of the other. Hard to explain. Don't judge me!

Gotta go do shoulders and legs. good luck (alibi)

My allergist told me I have one of the worst allergy cases he has seen. Im allergic to everything outside..Dust, pollen, weeds, trees, grass, etc.. Im allergic to dogs, cats, horses, etc.. Funny thing is, I have 2 dogs and Im ok around them.

Ive been getting 2 allergy shots every week for the past 6 months. Supposibly Im on the last bottle, so I dont have togo every week. I got worst before I got better. I also had an allergic reaction to one of the shots about 2 months ago. Had to rush myself to the emergency room and get a shot of benadryl. I broke out in hives and I itched like crazy everywhere..

I keep an air filter in my room running on high 24hrs aday.. I actually was stuffy last nite, but what can you do. I do the best to control them. I have an inhaler(pro-air) and also take prescription xyzal..

I use to make fun of all my friends that got allergies each year. I told them they were weak and inferior. Not too long ago I got hit with allergies for the first time in my life. My eyes were scratchy, watering, my nose running non-stop. Karma's a bitch!

My allergic reaction to the shots I get every week was so bad, my balls were even itching like crazy.. Imagine your entire body itching like crazy for about 3 hours. Thats how long it took for it to go away after the benadryl shot.

Yeah..that was my main symptom....stuffy and runny(that combo is kinda ironic isn't it).

If you arent down with they shots try "Flonase"...that shit works really well.

My daughter and I have lots of allergy problems from dust and some other things. Pulling most all the carpet from my house has helped a LOT. Carpet can hold a lot of crap even when you vacuum often.
