Then move to another country and see how your treated.
It depends on your chance of recovery. He had a hard time at first but he was driven to get back to work. He's just as good ... if not better than ever. He spent 2 months unable to walk ... but as soon as he could ... he was back to doing a couple of hours of PT every day with the rest of his guys. Once u get hurt, u gotta try real hard to prove yourself. They are real careful b/c they don't want to send in someone unable to do the job. It would put the other men at risk. But he was only 28. He didn't want to give up. He has drive. Now, if u lose a leg ... that's another story. Then u are just screwed.

ahh, the old love it or leave it arguement. It's a classic, and can be used equally well for any side!

BTW- Americans==USA, CANADA, MEXICO, BRAZIL, PERU and so on. Just so ya'll know.

I'm pretty sure Americans used in this context was the united states, not the continent, but golf clap for the attempt at muddying this thread.

I would have replied a long time ago if you acted like a man towards me instead of immature pantywaste. Trust me...I WILL NOT WASTE MY TIME.

You are fucking LOW CLASS TO MAKE COMMENTS TOWARDS ME INVOLVING MY PARENTS....tells me all I need to know about you.

I wasnt making a comment about them.

Im just wondering if they had any kids that turned out to have matured beyond prepubescent intellect? Asking that isnt an insult against them, its an insult against you. If you had matured beyond prepubescent intellect, you would be able to realize this.

And hey, youre a big fan of free speech, remember? And unlike yourself, Im someone who has fought to preserve the right both you and I hold so dear.

lol i think you quoted deterass when you should have quoted me...let's say you recieve a superficial injury that puts you out of combat for a while, nothing debilitating...and you don't want to go back, do them make you? or can an injury = no more combat, if you want it to be?

Whoa......she's pissed.

I just think this board has gone to crap with all the bullies and immature bombs or show us your tits mentality. I probably have NOT EVEN READ ALL THE POSTS 75th tries to cut me down for because I have not responded. I HAVE NOT EVEN READ THEM TO BEGIN WITH...how would I respond? Why would I waste my time responding to his crap towards me? I see how they treat other posters too...it's a WASTE OF TIME.

I completely understand why Big4life does not want to moderate here anymore. It's become COMPLETLEY PRESCHOOL.

I pop in and out of here for a little fun...It's not that anymore at all.

I hear a lot of opinions from people ... sitting at their computer desks ... developing opinions and ideas about things they only know about from the papers and the news. They sit in the comfort of their safe little lives ... making big opinions about things they will never face. If u don't like this country ... GET THE FUCK OUT. If u aren't from this country .... STAY THE FUCK OUT.
from the context of this thread, im going to take that post as being aimed at me.

despite your mans readiness to make sacrifices to uphold the decisions made by your administration is irrelevant to this discussion.

but dealing with the topic you broached, disagreeing with the war does not mean you are underminng your mans sacrifice. voicing your opinion, however hurtful to some people, is essential to the health of your society. in my mind, the greatest sin in this war, for your countrypeople, was the misuse of worthy, noble poeple in the military to fight a dirty, unjust war.

i live in a military town. i was involved with military contracts (housing). i rub shoulders with soldiers, sailors, and airmen regularly. australia is involved indelibly in this war and as such, i will voice my opinion as i like.

Who knows. But it isn't a problem that will go away if we just ignore it. I wish our men could all just stay here. But the people we are dealing with ... it's not like they will just stop fucking with us if we stop fucking with them. Personally, from the start, I said we shouldn't send our troops.I though we should just bomb Iraq from here without our guys even going. But my man says it wouldn't be right. He says it's hard to understand until u see the children that live there. I wish he didn't need to go but he says it's the only way.

From your last couple of posts I feel you speak primarily out of emotion. Of course, your husband is being deployed there so I'm sure you assume the obligation of supporting him... and thats noble.

But just like nevin said, its not bashing our troops (which none of us have) to completely disagree with the decision of deploying them in this region. For one second, instead of thinking how honorable your husband is (we already know this as fact), think of the reasons he was sent out... and think to yourself if it's really worth putting his life on the line for THIS OPERATION, which, in my opinion is not about enduring freedom in the least.

You claim we should still be there because "it's not like theyll stop fucking with us if we stop fucking with them." When, may I ask, has Iraq ever attacked the United States, or even fired a missile near our soil. Hypothetically, responding with "we're just being pro-active" isn't good enough and certainly unjustified for the lost lives of countless Americans and Iraqi's. Would you stand by your statement if we were to attack Saudi Arabia next week? After all, most of the extremists we read about are of Saudi descent, including a majority of the 9/11 terrorists and a man you may have heard about: Osama bin Laden. Would it surprise you if the United States are strong allies with the Saudis? It's all politics, dear.

Yep. U are right. I clicked 2fast. It was meant for u. Honestly, i'm not sure. All of the men I know would want to go back. It's just what they do. If u didn't want to go back to combat- u could probably get released due to PTSD. If u were still under contract, they would probably give u a crappy office job on base until u finished your time. I'm not positive but I think that's about how it goes.
