Actually I have come to believe that men tend to lie more because of genetics. Allow me to explain my theory. Most men agree with me.

There are those that lie to get what they want, pure and simple. Men are designed to hunt and pursue.

Then there are those that will say almost anything to get what they want (meaning a woman and not necessarily to sleep with her, but to have her develop feelings for him so she will be less likely to sleep with other men). I believe that HE BELIEVES what he is saying at the time because the drive is so strong to pursue, but once he gets what he wants and loses interest all of the sudden whatever he felt before when he said what he said, somehow doesnt seem as important - thus rendering it "no longer true."

The question is will the woman finally believe whatever it is that the man is saying long enough to make it so that he no longer has to pursue? And when she does believe him eradicating the "need" for him to puruse... will he still have those strong feelings?... or will he "lose interest" making what he said before "a lie"?

Sounds confusing to some extent, but I honestly believe this to be factual.

So, I dont get upset when a man "lies".

But since women are not designed by nature to be this way... I get REALLY PISSED if they behave this way.

i did read the thread. I won't settle for mediocre relationships. I am better off alone than having to do without. I'm confidant in me. im a very sucessful, intelligent woman that knows what she wants in life. I have long term goals as far as finaces go.. I train my ass off... want so much in the fitness 'world' kick some serious ass in the gym, don't fuck around when it comes to that.

I have found ME, over two years ago, which lead to my divorce. sad but true.... any man that thinks he can tame me, settle me is in for a big surprise. I will pamper him, care for him, give him his every desire.. but i'll never change a thing about me for him.

Yes, but consider the options:

1. BOB

2. Women ... worse, substantially higher maintenance than men unless you hook up with a Diesel Dyke, who's a bigger asshole than a man.

3. Pets.

4. Being alone. (actually there are definitely some serious pluses to being alone, I've just spent most of my life as a married person I don't know what it's like to be single and unattached, I'd be kind of lost).
