the military presence is so no one even thinks about fucking around.

I saw doods with machine guns is costa rica. It must be the rainy season there now. Not the best time to go, the overgorwn plantlife and wildlife must have been great though.

WTF where? CR doesnt even have an army there are security officers in like banks,malls and bars, but not like on the street anywhere....

i said the exact same thing bro. the music there is the best i've ever heard, and it was that good every night.

always started off our nights there.

teh only thing that sucked is despite the music being awesome not many people dancing. i didn't give a shit though, i was breaking it down. after a few of those mojitos they had i was good to go.

only downside is the service. takes like 30 minutes to get a fuckin drink

they're all over the place and have been for years. colombia is a country at war no matter how you look at it lol.

it made me feel safe as shit though. No one's gonna fuck with you when there's military guys with big ass guns. and the tourists are like the crown jewel of that place. So if you're light skinned and have money, you're basically royalty there.


When i went to brazil when i was younger (when it was much more dangerous almost 20 years ago), my family had to have armed men with machine guns when we went places. South america is no joke, but it's gotten much better.

did you get x-rayed? me and my friend both got x-rayed. and my friend got like triple searched. even after the first 2 check points and the x ray they decided to search his carry on bag.

Yeah, because the "dangerous people" all moved to Mexico now. It used to be safe to go into Mexico, but for the last few years (and even now) I wouldn't go near the place.
