Is their anything wrong with a few beers or glasses of wine while cycling deca? Im in my forth week and really enjoy a few drinks at night. Ive been told to stop altogether. Any feedback?
 
Just Deca?

1~ Deca only cycle are the worst cycle you could ever do
2~ Alcohol is VERY destructive on cycle, perhaps even more then when being OFF


do some more research and also please be sure of your PCT plan
 
drink up son,im on sus and deca now,and have a couple of drinks a nite,and i am overwhelmed with the results
 
Hmmm. Well thats just the opposite of the previous posts. Is there a scientific reason why alcohol is eather harmfull or not, while cycling.
 
I lower my drinking to only 1-2 glasses of wine per week... I want to stay easy on my liver...but am a firm beleiver in the antioxidants in wine...
 
Okay....here is my 2 cents.

Is drinking a good thing to do on cycle NO...do I do it every now and then, yes.

Everyone knows the alcohol inhibits protein synthesis. When your on a cycle you have enough exogenous hormones in your body that you wouldn't notice the effect the alcohol has on protein synthesis. Because of this, I feel like it terms of gains and effectiveness drinking OFF cycle is more harmful.

Also if your taking an oral steroids don't drink.
 
Thanx guys. So from what i gather here, I can drink, but only occasionally. Its all about moderation. I think beer is definataly ,100% out, but a glass of wine from time to time is not going to hurt at all. It could even promote good health. By the way i couldnt be happier with my cycle. Im huge and powerfull at 252lbs. Oh and no orals here.

that could tell you THEIR stories of why it is so destructive.
 
alcohol does inhibit protein synthesis, and it is very harsh on the liver as well. So drinking while on cycle is a bad idea. That being said, drinking is a big part of alot of peoples lives and a big part of American societys culture.
when I'm off cycle I'll admit I drink to much, I don't drink at all Mon-fri but on the weekends I tend to party a little to hard at times. But while on cycle bro try to cut down as much as you can. When I'm on I'll only drink once a week and when I do its no more than afew beers.
 
thanx again. im not interested in talking to alcholics.I dont relate to that particular issue. But i am interested in what people like myself have to say. Again thanx for the info. I have decided to have a glass of chianti W/dinner. (2 Chichen breast ,brussel sprouts, whole grain rice, fresh collard greens) I feel comfortable with my decision.
 
anythin in moderation wont kill you even on cycle....if u go out once every 3 months and have a couple of drinks and pop a few painkillers or bump some coke its not goin to KILL YOU....its when u start doing it everyday and it becomes a habit is when its bad
 
I was specifically referring to alcohol, but, each to his or her own. Like you said moderation is 100% the key.Except when it comes to lifting. I cant seem to get enough, i luv it. I luv everything about it.I luv my weights. I luv my gym.Im addicted....
 
drinking was really a thing for me too. i found that its hard not drink sometimes. so your best friend is having a birthday party, wants you to get wasted with him, but you're in the middle of a cycle? im more than likely gonna get wasted. but its true that you should limit the alcohol intake to very little or none, for health reasons and otherwise.
 
Dude, 1 or 2 lite beers a night is fine as long as you're not on orals. Getting drunk every night is not.

This is just my opinion, other bros will disagree.

lol hey now. I didn't say it was okay if you're trying to get ripped. I think he was just referring to the safety of it.
 
At the very most I drink 1 night on the weekends, get my training done during the week. Going to the beach/bars/clubs is a way of life where i live....besides girls will laugh if im drinking cranbury juice :P
 
binge drinking = hell no
1-3 drinks on the weekend, or a glass of wine is what i stick to and think is alright when on cycle.
 
Alcoholic beverages covert androgen imediatly into estrogen. FACT! Especially the next day.
Not to mention put a tremendous amount of stress on the liver, also casing severe dehydration with each drink, stunts proper muscle recovery, and turns all your precious suplements and vitamins into toxic poison.
You would be better off being an alcoholic and a heavy meat eating power lifter.
However, I do know a few guys that drink often including liquor and cycle roids regularly.
Whats thier secret? proper cycling and pct and of course lots of nolvadex.
they swear that all other products and suplements are crap and just shock your nervous system.
 
i enjoy a drink as much as the next man but i think if you cant go without a drink you obv enjoy drinking more than bodybuilding...pick one,cos they dont mix.
 
fyi beer seriously inhibits protien synthisis not to mention BAD carb and the calories...orignaly i had a hard time giving it up but really if im gonna make a lifstyle change for the beter im gonna go all the way! red wine is ok IMO every once in a wile in moderation (there are deffenet health benifits but still rather not play with fire :) be strong bro u can get past it....be that one huge guy all the slobs in the bar envy lol
 
I'll tell you what, I drank beer all weekend and sure enough monday morning I noticed by nipples were bigger and a slight cone shape forming where my flat pecs used to be. One weekend did it for me. Was it worth it? I am serious, I'm not kidding. I am on lots of orals though. I drink a few beers on weekends I used to be a power drinker.
All those pct products are great for test boosting but are lousy anti- est and dont work at all.
Also like I said before alcohol converts androgen into estrogen.
So its me fault for playing around.
Even when I never took suplemnets and only ht the wirghts, becasue your test lvls go up your androgen stlll converts into est with alcohol.
It makes me mad when I see those movies and tv shows with these collossal body builders in drinking contests.
Its pure bs.
 
Alcohol

Alcohol can interact with certain medicines.
In the case of Deca-Durabolin:
there are no known interactions between alcohol and Deca-Durabolin .

My 2 cents

I've done cycles where I completed stopped drinking and I've done cycles where I got completely shit faced once a week.

Here's what I noticed when I drank...

1- hangovers were incredibly worse than when not on cycle
2-strength was down for atleast 2-3 days after. I would hit all my large muscle groups later in the week because of this. Example: wed-legs, thursday-back, fri- chest, and then drink fri night.
3. Gains weren't noticeably affected HOWEVER I do believe they are affected
4. I overall didn't feel as fit all the time. On the alcohol free cycles I felt as if I could just take off and run 10 miles at the drop of a hat. Not so much when drinking on cycle.
5. Led to binge eating and cheat days the day after. For me atleast. Feeling bad, hungover, fuck it lets get some cheese fries!

Overall the choice is yours. Will it kill you? No. Will it ruin your cycle? No. Will you get the most out of your cycle? No

I'd say if you were gunna do it, do it on a bulking cycle. That way after you drink you can eat a big meal to filter out all the bad shit and prevent the hangover without much consequence. If you are cutting then forget about it or be prepared to take 3-4 days to get back to where u were before u drank...

That was my experience...hope it helps
