Hey guys, im in a dilemma. Im looking to purchase my first AK-47 and the main decider is my pocket book. A WASR style with wood furniture is what I am looking for, not really worried if it is NIB or used but I want to get a quality one that will be fun for the girl and buds to shoot. I have heard that WASR's are complete garbage from some people, but from others if you get the right model such as a Romanian WASR that they are one of the most fun guns to shoot and are really right under the Russian models. Has anybody purchased a WASR AK or and AK for that matter and would like to share opinions, and experiences that would help me get a good one? And what too look for, I know the canted sights are a big problem, and the magazine wiggle. Also if corrosive ammo has been shot through a non chrome lined barrel it will be bad as well, but what are some other features that show a good well rounded AK? The price range is 300.00-450.00 which is a good range I hear for what im looking for, and no pre-ban guns (usually alot more expensive and more rare).
