Ah, the maturity and open-mindedness of the far left....

Uh, they fired her simply because she "voted Republican"? Yeah right. Try this quote from their most recent magazine:

"The Democrats of the Sixties were all about making love and not war while a war-loving Republican is a man who would fight, bleed, sacrifice, and die for his country. Could you imagine what that very same man would do for his wife in the bedroom? Those on the Right are presumed to be all about power and greed -- two really sexy traits in the bedroom. They want it, they want it now, and they'll do anything to get it. And I'm not talking about some pansy-assed victory; I'm talking about full on jackpot, satisfaction for all." -- Michelle Zipp, Editor of Playgirl magazine

War loving Republican men? It's not even a political mag, it's a damn porno for horny women and gay men! That's enought to get most magazine editors canned.

This is what we call "shooting the messenger."

All sides do it.

It is immature. So are most people.

I like bears.

I offer up Matt the Skywalker as exhibit 1.

Constantly ragged on, poked fun at, and attacked on his ideas. I have noted zero cases of editing or post deletion, even when thet attack was particularly personal against him. He articulated his point of view, and gave back as good as he got.

The "free speech" liberals have a much less honorable record, despite hundreds of hypocritical threads to the contrary.

The same immaturity and inability to control their emotional responses that leads to their liberal 'ideas' seeps into other areas, such as this.

"Never trust a liberal" That's part of my daily protocol.

This is called consensus building . We start here with some common ideas, and then we build on that to see what else we have in common.

After establishing common goals, we can work together to develop ideas to reach them.

That leaves areas on which we disagree, which we can postpone until later or compromise on.

Talented leaders understand the value of consensus building - you never know what battles you DON'T have to fight, and also you set an agreeable backdrop for tense negotiations later.

There are not a lot of good consensus builders in politics. The system does not lend itself to taking action without seeking credit.

They lack any capacity for the most part to articulate and defned their ideas in an open and honest manner.

So instead they resort to censorship and intimidtaion. On college campuses they dont protest to express an alternate viewpoint. Without exception they protest to prevent the other side from even being heard. This is the norm, not the exception.

In real life its much the same. They dont counter those with differing opinions, they attempt to destroy them and prevent them from being heard.

Even as small a microcsom as this arena here is no exception, just par for the course.

Hey Matt do you still think there's any way to work together with Liberals? I think there isn't. But I'd like to hear some words of hope. lol
