Is your body ever the same?

What i mean is, is any aspect of your body permanently altered by the use of AAS?

For example, is your hormonal homeostasis ever truly realised again, once you have come off the gear completely, or is there always a slight change whatever it may be, as a result of gear?

If you have testicular atrophy, once you have come off the gear, are your nuts ever fully restored to their former glory?

Obviously i know if you develop gyno, this will be permanent, as will muscle gains. But i am, referring to your chemical/hormonal makeup.

Please discuss.

alot depends on your age ,the type cycles ran,the dosages and the length you're on.

no one can answer this 100%. as radar says it depends on a lot of factors.

there are guys on here who ran cycles at a young age who had to go on TRT. but who knows if they had run a proper cycle or a better pct if that would of been the case?

best thing is don't mess with hormones until you are atleast 25+

I didnt expect the answer to be black and white, far from it, but in general, do you recover, assuming all factors are reasonable?

^^^ I have recovered every time (although deca was a doozy) and I've run a double digit amount of cycles. and I'm in my 30's.

I have a pct protocol in my signature that I have put together through trial and error/blood work. its a blueprint, you must mold your own PCT of course... but it will help you mold a pct for you.

Exactly,,everyone and every situation is different.

Sane dosages with proper PCT can result in permanent positive changes. But too much, too long , or done too young or too late in life, may do otherwise.

I am on board with what all the other vets have posted here. Nothing is guaranteed but being wise, having pct and the fact that the human body is tremendous at trying to return to homeostasis and the odds are favorable.

by using sane dosages and good pct my body has changed forever.. for the better.

I had a terrible injury years go and was told the only way to get back into my sport safely would be to gain about 20lbs of muscle.

I recovered back to baseline test every time and I was one of the smart / lucky ones to do pre / post cycle blood work because I was being supervised for all my early cycles.

People get screwed up because they take too many compounds and take them at too high a dosage. often they will spend more and more money on the cycle and neglect pct.

Higher dosages lead to more sides and a much harder road to recovery.

also with the supps available now you can run a much lower dosed cycle and get results that were just unattainable before with the same dosage. also the pct supps out there now are 100x better then what was available just 5 years ago.

As already stated it depends totally on the individual. I can however tell you from my own experience...2009 I was on some sort of test from feb throough the end of the year. 600mg/wk up to 1050mg for 6 of those weeks. Had some injury issues had to stop suddenly. Went on again for the first half of 2010 til I really pissed my shoulders off in july. All I did in that time was test and some deca thrown in here and there. No matter the PCT it takes me a solid 4-6 mos to even remotely feel normal. Finally this year (august) I got a free and total test done(i get regular blood work every 3-4 mos though). I apologize as I dont remember the numbers but at age 35 my total test was actually slightly above max range limit and my free was right smack in the middle. I was shocked as I had figured being on 15 or so months out of the previous 30 would have wrecked my natty T.
Having the levels I have at my age its almost a shame(i really do feel guilty about it) im going back on (pending one last prolo shoulder treatment) a blast and cruise for probably 80-90% of 2012. By that I mean 375-500mg first blast 125mg cruise and 500-675mg 2nd blast. So even though I'm blast and cruising its still pretty sane IMHO. Not having any AAS in my system for at least 18-20 mos should yield nice results.

Im with you also Stevesmi...Deca was definatley a doozy. Fuck deca never again other than maybe 100mg/wk for joint hrt purposes which really helps)

I cycled on and off for a few years was shut down hard and it felt it took my body about 2 years to get back to normal bottom line is use good pct and have time off between cycles for your body to recover, you can get to a point were you are shut down permanently
