Adding Squats/Deads to Cardio

I'm wondering if its counterproductive to add sets of pretty light weight squats and deads to my cardio workout. Meaning am I in danger of overtraining.

Currently I'm doing an HST workout MWF. Today I did my weight workout around noon and went back for cardio tonight (I'm cutting) and decided to throw in 2x12 of deadlifts and 3x10 of squats.

What do you guys think?

WHY!?!?!

I used to do cardio on my off days when first starting HST, but it was solely to flush lactic acid in my muscles. Which really only seemed to help with my legs anyways. I dont do anything other than recover on my off days now.

Just eat less than your BMR and drink more water if yer trying to cut.

I guess what it comes right down to, as far as over-training goes, is how well you regain your strength from workout to workout and will you be able to perform the required weights during your next workouts without any delay in your program.

Well, I figure at low weight, squats and deads are great cardiovascularly. They give me the same level of fatigue as a sprint workout and I like doing them a whole lot more than running. Also since I'm doing a low weight I don't think I'll have any trouble recovering 36+ hours later for my next weights session - but I guess I'll find out on Wednesday.

Keep weight - weights

Cardio - cardio...

I would integrate higher reps on those exercises onthose weight days and leave it at that

i know shit about HST but it doesnt sound like a good idea to me..the body needs to recover properly..make sure you include skwats/deads in your hst routine..no need for more
