Some of you guys are weird, you're willing to do steroids that can promote sides like libido issues, sterility issues, gyno, etc and you're worried about a little dry skin and depression?

For the record rosche states that depression happens in like .01% of all patients and most doctors say it's not even related to the accutane but they have it there for legal reasons. I mean, how many people covered with EXTREME cases of zits are already depressed anyway?

There are 4 derms in the office that I go to and none of them have ever seen a depression case related to accutane.

I'm using it now, it's the best shit ever invented... do it under supervision, just keep going to derms until one gives it to you. They will get your bloodwork every month and monitor everything.

I'd rather take a pill once or twice a day than 3 showers a day, exfoliate 2 times a day, apply all kinds of BS to my skin (especially back) and all of the other rituals that some people have.

Big steroids give you big acne, big acne can be solved with accutane :)

Absolutely true. The depression shit is a joke, and if you use lots of good cream for both your face and body, your skin will be just fine. You just have to use it every day.

My liver values were barely elevated by 40mg a day. The doctor said you're fine until they're at least twice or three times baseline value, and mine were right about inbetween baseline and twice baseline. And that was without taking milk thistle. So go figure...

Trust me, I've done the shit twice, and I'd try something else first. If you're juicing, your liver is already dealing with heavy toxins; accutane could multiply the effects and severely comprimise your liver's health. I had to go in for regular bloodwork while on the shit to make sure my liver was ok. Both times I had to sign a waiver before they would prescribe it to me because they don't want to get sued over all the nasty complications it can and has caused. It didn't cure mine forever, and it supposedly gets worse for you each time you take it. The doctor said my bones could break easier or become deformed if I did any heavy lifting, and strictly told me not to. I went and got some photo and laser, and now my skin is clear as a baby. Way better then accutane ever was because there are no sides.

you may think this is bullshit or what not....but tanning really helps clear up the break out areas i get on my face.....dries out my skin pretty good on my face and the shit clears up....only problem is if i dont tan for like a week it all just comes back

Ya tanning lights actually mildly kill surface bacteria. The photo and laser I got, targets deeper and actually shrinks the glands, as well as kill the p. acnes bacteria. Accutane does not do both, but does shrink the glands over time, and you WILL pay the price for it with the sides.

I took accutane in my teenage years; it sucked a lot of ass. The worst side was probably the dry lips. Dry lips doesnt seem like such a bad side, but the skin on my lips would literally be peeling off, and there was nothing i could do about it. I would put carmex on but then it just looked like a greasy cestpool of chapstick and little flaps of skin. Not cool. While it does do the trick, there are a lot of other effective antibiotics you can get for acne; talk to your doc/dermatollogist. Oh yeah, there was this other little side i like to call ANAL BLEEDING. It only happened once, but was an overrated experience to say the least. Oh, accutane. The source of unfathomable anguish throughout my junior year of highschool (ok, perhaps a bit dramatic :))

some of my friends were on it....they would smile and their lips would crack and bleed....and since they were my good friends id be like dude ur bleeding....also....i cant imagine being on accutane with bad liver values...or while on cycle

Ahhh the memories - burning eyes, cracked lips, dry skin, hair falling out, and of course, permanantly impaired night vision. Bleeding ass? Thank god I never got that one.
