Acne after a few years...

Don't know if this has occurred to anyone here:
used to have small acne breakouts a few years ago (only on my face), nothing too serious...
all has been under control ever since, no more zits.
All of a sudden it's been 3 days and I'm breaking out like never before.
Wtf?

I'm willing to wait it out, if not I'm forced to go to my dermatologist.

Anyone been through this?
:worried:

I have a problem with zits on my back...mostly shoulder blades. They look awful after a workout, 'specially benching cuz I lay on em. Never had this problem when I wuz younger. I used to get allot of sun and had a great tan, maybe that helped...not sure. I am lily white and gonna start tanning to see if'n it helps. I make sure that I shower right after working out too..

Are you using gear? I've heard that it can cause allot of acne...

Hopefully someone else will post here and help us out...?

If you can tollerate the side effects accutane is a miracle drug when it comes to making acne dissapear, most of the time permanently. Of course you'll get the occasional blemish here and there but nothing serious.

I've done it, the sides that effected me were chapped lips, dry skin & I did feel a little depressed about halfway through until I stopped.

My back was really bad after a steroid cycle... it started after I got off of the steroids and PCT so I had nothing foreign in my body at that point. Got a lot down my spine and all over my shoulders, it was gross.

About 2 months on accutane and there were NO NEW pimples anywhere on my body... my face was so smooth and my back was finally getting a chance to heal up.

I did it for 5 months. Was totally worth it in my opinion, I still get the occasional pimple here and there... but its like 1 every other week or so and they never really turn into nasty whiteheads... just red bumps that seem to go away quickly.

Yeah, I've heard of accutane...

well really sorry to hear that
try altering your diet or applying some cream like clearskin acne gel
if it doesnt go then better consult a dermatologist
i think it can also be cause of hormonal changes

BUMP i have pretty bad shoulder and back acne from this cycle..and a little acne no my face...not much tho...do i just go to my doctor and tell him i want accutane or will he try and convice me that its the wrong route to go....i mean this acne on my shoulders is BAD...

Accutane is only prescribed for serious cases of acne. You can get it in 10, 20 and 40 mg capsules and will be required to take it for 15-20 weeks to see improvements or a total clear-up of your acne. Side effects can be any of the following: dry skin, dry nose, nosebleeds, cracks in the skin of the mouth, dry mouth, inflammation of the eyes, joint aches, increase in blood cholesterol, depression, hallucinations, suicidal tendancies, skin infections, sensitivity to light, hearing impairment, and hepatitis.

You will also have to watch your intake of Vitamin A as accutane will increase the side effects of vitamin A if your dietary intake is high.

Make sure you have completed your cycle before you take accutane. It might be an idea to mention to the physicain that you are completing a cycle just incase there is something else you need to made aware of.

man i get pimple breakouts just by increasing my protein intake. $^*@!

my advice : drink ALOT of water, get good sleep, wash your face at least twice a day and use facial products

Ok what is your age ?
How long did you go with out acne?
and how long has it retruned?

what have you changed?
I have always had a problem with acne and it can be related to insulin production. increased insuline will cause imflumation.

has your diet changed?

HAVE YOU CHANGED YOUR LAUNDRY DETERGENT?

Some people never derived a conclusion that washing your pillowcases in a different detergent then you’re used to can cause acne. Another thing is to make sure you change you pillow cases at least 2-3 times per week due to the oils your face puts out each night.

ST. IVES medicated scrub works wonders for people with body and face acne, and it is cheap. I hope this helps some.
