going under the knife 10 a.m. tomorrow. anybody had it? if so, how long was it before squats returned to normal? i just recently got my squats up to the highest since college 405x6 this morning. what am i looking at before i'm back?

oh, I have heard and seen the hamstring removal op, but not the patellar. Keep me posted on the outcome.

this really sucks. i've been on my back for two damn days with a machine bending my knee for me to keep it mobile. anesthesia just wore off this morning and i can finally get up without feeling dizzy and nauseated. knee's the size of a grapefruit and i start pt today. fun, fun, fun.

I had the surgury 2 years ago, had the patellar graft. I got infected on the table, had another scope a week later to clean it out. I had the machine, the extension board, the jas splint, and muscle stimulator, it sucked ass. I also had a pic line for antibiotics, I couldn't lift for 6 weeks, lost 20 pounds. I wanted to die!!!

After 8 months of rehab it's good as new and stronget than ever. I'm squatting, leg pressing, lunging, and play softball or other sports without a brace. Just do what your PT says, and take it one day at a time, it will go fast. It doesn't seem like it now, but it will.

Just keep a postive attitude, take it one day at a time. It takes 6 weeks fir the graft to vascularize, at 10-12 weeks you can lift on it again. However, very light to begin. So prolly like two months before things really get moving again. It comes back very fast. I recommed if you didn't knee wrap before, do it know.

Stay strong, and keep at it.

took 7 steps today w/out crutches turned around and took 7 more. that's the shit man. march 1st i was 219 lbs at 14% bf and 26 inch quads. today i weigh 207 and the only way the quad is 26 is from the swelling.
