I'm on my 4th month of accutane. I started at 40mg/day and now am up to 80/day. I've also been on test at 250mg/wk. My bloodwork came back great. I would def. stay away from orals while on accutane. But above all, get your bloodwork done while on.

I took it a couple years ago for the back also. I was worried about what I had read, but it was the last option I had, I tried everthing else. My doctor calmed me down about the sides. 40mg the first three weeks, then 80mg for another 5 weeks. I've not had anything even close to a pimple on my back or face since. Only sides I had were dry lips & ears. It went away when I stopped. Give it a shot, it sure as hell works.

Is accutane it a forever solution to acne(cycle once and no more acne for life) or just temp??

is that 1.5 moths years weeks later ???
were the headaches when you wake upo or all through the day

Sh!t, sorry for the delay~ the Doctor's discontinued treatment approximately 1.5mo later and the migraines stopped. To the best of recollection [it was in 1996-97] most headaches occurred in the early afternoon....I can't recall the dosage I was on, like I said years ago...

It is listed as a side-effect, but then again, what isn't anymore on prescription med's. There is a family history on my father's side of migraines, but I had never experienced them until I was prescribed Accutane, and haven't experienced them since [almost 10yrs later]. I could have just been pre-disposed to that particular side-effect.

Ag-Guys tane is amazing. used it for 3 months and got totally clear and oil free. was doing 100mg a day.

the only side i got was severe chapped lips.

Ian-t . I finished my 3 month course of tane before i began my 10 week cycle. And yes i the oil production is increasing and im starting to get acne again.

All accutane does is SHRINK your sebacaus gland's, reducing oil production, thus no more blocked pores. once you stop tane they will slowing start to enlarge.

running accutane at 50mgs a day should be fine during cycle. take 25mgs in the morning and 25mgs at night. it's best to run this for 6 months at 80mgs ed to permanently clear up the skin problems for good..but..during cycle, after your skin dries up, you can start taking it 50mgs e0d.

Personal experience only: I used Accutane in high school and began having massive migraines about 2wks after I started it. They ended when I went off it about 1.5 later. I have no factual evidence the two were linked, just my own experience, so take it with a grain of salt. It did completely clear up what acne I had.

One girl I knew had to get surgery on her skull to release air and pressure, was all due to accutane. Very serious shit, check blood levels + liver if using. When I used it my doc made me do blood tests every month to see if my levels were legit.

Got on after a Test/Dbol cycle and HEAVY bacne that developed after PCT. My derm knew immediately it was from steroid use, lol. Anyway, because it was severe, he put me on 80mg/day for 6 months. The sides began after a few weeks: very chapped lips and dry eyes. These can be remedied with Vaseline (apply throughout the day) and Visine eye drops. After about a month, I didn't notice any new pimples, but I didn't start clearing up until month 3. By month 5 my bacne pretty much disappeared.

Your derm will have you do blood work throughout. Mine was mainly focused on my liver values, which were abnormally high for my age (damn dbol), but still within the acceptable range. A few months later however, my liver values returned to normal.

Just startes clarus the other day (generic accutane). Im getting my values checked after a month, let ya pps know

Getbig10, regarding your question about injuries. Ive read that that Isotretinoin may have some effect on bones; however, cases are rare.
