Accents, do you have one?

I don't think I do

For those of you that have talked to me on th phone, do you think I have one?

You can pick out certain words that have went southern in my accent but living a lot of different places and ever staying home will fuck up your accent...

Slight Southern accent here. Gets worse when I am tired, have been drinking, or whenever I try NOT to have one.

I used to have a Puerto Rican accent, then a New York Puerto Rican accent, now I don't know what the hell I sound like...I think I sound...educated lol

I know what you mean about sounding educated. I guess mine falls under the "educated southern" category. And no that's not an oxymoron.

big4 and saint are southern sounding to my canuck ears :)

i've been told that i don't, that i sound british, that i sound like i'm from fargo... lol

i claim i speak phonetically, and i'm sticking to it :)

Nope. Filipino and Spanish descent over here. Nothing against my race but thank God I don't have a Filipino accent. Sounds kind of funny even to me.

My girl does though. Very soft sexy puertoricana accent but she speaks perfect English. Well, 99% perfect. Some words mixed here and there she sounds to cute. Hehehe. ;)

I used to have a Texas drawl (flat vowels and "get" pronounced like "git") until I got to college. I found that dropping my "accent" and talking like the network news anchors helped me communicate better with the professors and other students, many of whom were from Asia and the Middle East. I guess I've had a "network news" accent ever since!

I have a pretty thick upper-canadian accent, eh.

you just aint whistling dixie, brother. I am filipino myself, and I DO NOT sound like one, thank gawd... I have a southern cali accent, if anything, <like, dude...> ;)

I guess I have a bit of a Texas Twang  It depends on who I talk to and where they are from. Foreigners notice it the most it seems.

Well, when i've talked to people from other states like Calfornia and Connecticut they told me a had an accent before I even completed my sentence! I guess you could call it a wisconsin accent.

It's not as bad as the Mom from Bobby's World though. :)

Naw...ju?

I have a minesoootan accent. But I dont sound like im from fargo ya know, oh you betcha. I kind of have a ghettosotan accent.

I've been told by several sources that I have a Jersey/NYC accent.

"Awe cawm on! We'll tawlk about it ovah some cawfee. Fogettaboudit!"

Ja hoor. Ik certainly have a accent. I am Dutch, speak engels well but the "th" sounds like in though, and thought are VERY hard for us. Even in our tiny country the accent changes so much. In amsterdam they say we sound like germans because of how we speak in the east provinces.

Aah 3Vandoo some gaelic there i see.. I studied it a bit in school but forgot it all as i concentrated to learn english. Maybe 15 years ago i could read some of that.

Once in Ireland i saw a road sign that read GEEL. What does that mean in Gaelic? This is VERY funny to dutch people because in our language geel means randy/horny.

I certainly have a accent too. I speak english quite well, but peiple notice right away that english isn´t my first language.

I have a really tick Brooklyn accent. I put vinegar & earl on my salad, and I flush my terlet. I like to hang out on tird ave with my boys...
Wouldn't have it any other way....

BBB......:supercool

I still have a Texas twang after all these years living outside the state. I have tried to get rid of it, but it appears more than it needs.

People pick up on it and know immediately that I am from Texas, some think it is fairly thick, and I tell them if they want to hear a Texas accent, then I have some relatives that they need to meet.:mexican:

I have a TERRIBLE Long Island accent!! No matter where I go or who I tawk to, they know immediately where I'm from!!

And Dave, I'm sorry, you definitely have an accent!! You're a hoot!! Cute as hell though...

And Pink is getting there... oh my gawd!!

No. So I will fake a slight southern accent sometimes just for kicks. I'm working on my British accent but I don't think that's ready for the public yet. :)
