Abscess????

My lifting partner is using a test mixure that has "I think" 150mg enanthate, 50mg propionate in each ml. he shot a half cc in the middle of his left pec, and now is has been sore and swollen and warm to the touch for about 4 days. He said that he was clean and sterile about it all, and that the warm to the touch feel has went down a little. His left pec is so swollen that it sticks out about an inch more than his right one. What do you guys think. Could it somehow be an infection of some type? Oh he also used a 1" needle. That everything he told me. If it is an abscess, will it ever go away, or will it have to be drained? THanks guys, appreciate any help given!!

Sounds as if he has celluitis starting, off to the Doctor with him. Celluitis or any injection related infection is nothing to fool with, better safe than sorry.

It could be an abcess in the making, but most likely just an irritation from the alcohol. I had a batch of fina that that occurred on every shot. Maybe it was a sterilization issue, but it always went away within a week. If a hard lump develops get to the doctor.

One more thing, he said that there was a knot in it, or was real firm or something like that. Surley it wouldn't be from the prop. with that little ammount could it be?? Hey liftsiron what is celluitis??? haven't heard of that one? thanks guys!!

Cellulitis(note the spelling) is a spreading bacterial infection just below the skin surface. It is most commonly caused by Streptococcus pyogenes or Staphylococcus aureus.

Cellulitis is a spreading bacterial infection just below the skin surface. It is most commonly caused by Streptococcus pyogenes or Staphylococcus aureus.

Description
The word "cellulitis" actually means "inflammation of the cells." Specifically, cellulitis refers to an infection of the tissue just below the skin surface. In humans, the skin and the tissues under the skin are the most common locations for microbial infection. Skin is the first defense against invading bacteria and other microbes. An infection can occur when this normally strong barrier is damaged due to surgery, injury, or a burn. Even something as small as a scratch or an insect bite allows bacteria to enter the skin, which may lead to an infection. Usually, the immune system kills any invading bacteria, but sometimes the bacteria are able to grow and cause an infection.

Once past the skin surface, the warmth, moisture, and nutrients allow bacteria to grow rapidly. Disease-causing bacteria release proteins called enzymes which cause tissue damage. The body's reaction to damage is inflammation which is characterized by pain, redness, heat, and swelling. This red, painful region grows bigger as the infection and resulting tissue damage spread. An untreated infection may spread to the lymphatic system (acute lymphangitis), the lymph nodes (lymphadenitis), the bloodstream (bacteremia), or into deeper tissues. Cellulitis most often occurs on the face, neck, and legs.

That should cover it!!

Cellulitis link (also caused by bacteria from intramuscular injection or unsterile product): http://www.mediresource.net/canoe/health/PatientInfo.asp?DiseaseID=145

and that is definitely what you have. I got it from a batch of IP deca (same hard knotting too but I believe that's just IP not the infection) and ended up getting Keflex which brings it around in a couple days.

Don't let it go untreated as it can get quite painful and infection can sometimes spread to blood or kindeys (very fucking bad).

I do predict that your friend will be purchasing human grade in the future.

damn, thanks man, good post!! will it ever go down "if" it is that, I am gonna tell him to go to the doc tom. he is pretty stubborn on shit like that. thanks again bro's!!

one more thing, it IS human grade. he even has a prescription for it, gets it through the mail from florida. pays out the ass for it though, BUT he has the script, so he pays for it. drives a gas semi, is too affraid will get in trouble with illegal gear and all. shit happens though.

Yes it could go down, or it could get worse. Get it looked at to be safe. Or use the oldest trick in the book that you have a very sore throat and no time to get to the doctor. Ask them to call you in an antibiotic, that will take care of the infection in a couple of days.

Wierd reaction to human grade gear and BA. I doubt that's it. Not if it's red and warm to the touch.

It may get better on it's own (cellulitis tends to take a while and training blows cause it's painful) or it may spread. Either way - not worth it.

Could very well be the start of cellulitis, which is nothing to fool with. Pec injections are also nothing to fool with. Do you realize that if you go in to far with the needle, even a needle the size of an insulin needle that you could cause a pneumothorax (drop a lung). I would stay away from pecs for site injections. Just my two cents.

I would also ask for an antibotic like cipro or zitromax (sp) not kelflex as in many cases celluitis is not completely cured by kelflex, and it comes back with a vengence.

Ive had a similar thing to that off prop, when i done leg jab. It cleared up after about 6 days. Thats the only time i react to it, if i do glutes im fine.

I was wrong on the ammounts of the enanthate and prop, the enanthate is 200mg, and the prop is 50mg. Like I said he only did a half cc. Today he said the pain was down a "little" but still swollen as hell. looks weird. He did a shot is his other pec last night, said it was sore too, maybe it is just the prop, but that little?? Oh well. I said that majority of you think that he should go to the doc. he won't. too damn stubborn. if he ends up gettting his pec amputated, or cut off, or what ever they do, i'll let ya'll know. Thanks again for the replys!!

It sounds as if your friend shot some of the fake lot E ara test, who knows whats in that shit. There a few other bad ara test lots as well, or so I've heard.

I would hope not. it is for human use, got it from a pharmacy, has a script and all. would it still be possible to get fake's??

In mexico yes, in the USA I wouldn't think that you would get a fake. What is the brand name of the test?

okay here we go..... He ordered the gear from " Palm Beach Rejuvination Center" they deal with "Signature Pharmacy" in orlando FL. What it is, is cypionate, and propionate mixed at the pharmacy to what the doctor perscribes. I thought that it was enanthate, nope cypionate. he payed $150 for a 10cc bottle!! Payed out the ass for it, but he also has a script. I think that he is dumb for it,but what ever gets you off. The experation date is march 3, 2003. lot number has been washed off from him putting it in warm water to thin it a little. any ideas??? does this sound fishy to anyone?? I haven't heard of it before.

It all sounds very strange to me. I have a few bro's who get gear by script and they all get a Rx for an already mixed prep from a known pharmacutical company. Has any one else heard of something similiar by a legitimate medical facility?

If its red and warm to the touch, it is an abscess...Trust me, I just had one on my quad. Its nothing to fool around with. They put me On intervenous (sp) antibiotics for 2 days...an hour day 1 and then an additional hour on day 2. Then a week of 750mg of oral anti's. They also di an ultra sound..lucky for me they did not have to drain it.

update

well it must have been the Prop. it he said it takes about 5-6 days and the pain and warmness to the injection area dissapear. I feel kinda dumb for making a semi-big deal about it, but after so many days a person wonders ya know?? thanks guys for who did reply!!

Thats exactly what i said the other day. It was the prop, i had the exact same reaction, its better to be safe than sorry. Basically if the problem is still there after a week then get it checked. If your in serious pain then see about it earlier.
