I have an MP3 file that is too large for an 80 minute CD. It's alive track anyways. My software wont allow me to burn it on CD. I jsut want to burn what i can, and leave the end off.

ANy suggest???

Don't know if I can help but I'll try....

Is it one file with a bunch of songs? If so you may need special software to take a couple of the songs off. Do you know what kind of software you use to burn with? Easy CD Creator maybe?

If you are burning mp3 files it is easier to go through the data window.

I'd just convert it to a wav and use a wav editor to cut it into two 40 minute wavs and then encode them to mp3 and burn them. Or you could just clip off the extra time at the end while in wav format. Or you could sacrifice sound quality and encode the mp3 at a lower bitrate but that kind of sucks, unless the MP3 track you have is encoded at something crazy like 224kbps or higher.

I use a cracked WinOnCD for burning, it has its own audio editor. Automatic conversion from MP3 to WAV audio, with options to cut the overlap and fade out the last few seconds for a smooth touch
