Aarraggghhh!!! Delts kill after injection

I just started fina and decided to inject it in my delt using an insulin syringe. The actual injection (1mL) didn't hurt but within 10 minutes my delt was very sore and there was a hard lump present. It's been two days and I can't raise my arm without pain. Is this normal? In the future, I planned on doing my bis, tris, and calves too.

How long was the needle? Isn't fina an im shot? If it is you more than likely were not deep enough into the delt, and or you popped a blood vessel. Is there any bruising? You may have also injected it too fast. With that small a needle it would be like a minny razer blade if you pushed it in to fast.

The insulin needle was 5/8". There is some brusing too. I've read on the boards that people use this size syringe for site injections w/out problems. I don't think I injected too fast. It took at least 30 seconds to eject 1mL.

First of all fina is known to cause injection pain. Secondly a slin pinis too small. What length did you use. I recomend nothing less than 1 inch for delts. There's a possibility you went through a vein which will cause discomfort and bruising, but there's also a chance you were'nt deep enough and the fluid is irritating your subcutaneous layer.

It also depends on the your skin thickness. I find that 5/8 is too small. It doesn't get deep enough and ends up under my skin. Sounds like you popped a vessel. It should be fine. Massage it and apply heat.

Thanks guys. I'll try a longer needle next time I do shoulders. Is the insulin syringe going to be ok for tris, bis, and calves though?
