there seems to be a fine line between joking and this disrespect. it is not always clear to some despite what others claim. glad i am not in that boat. :)

Its pretty simple really. You know who is your friend and who is not. You can tell when some one is attacking you and when they are not. Its a god given (or some would call it genetic) instinct. The lines are not fine.


yes some people do think they have ef street cred or they have the backing or friendship of another mod and can get away with more. Maybe they think one mod diserves more respect then another. Maybe they think they are so populer that they can just make threats of leaving and taking people or there services with them. What ever the reason its not a good enough reason any longer and its going to stop.

i don't know. i guess it's a question of authority.

It's funny because there are PLENTY of members with strong opinions, who post here a lot and have disagreed with things and have NEVER shown disrespect when discussing it.

I don't recall smurfy ever being disrespectful, despite plenty of times when she thought things weren't being handled the right way. There are plenty of others who get it, and then there are those that continue to push the limits of what is acceptable. i don't know why.

I mod, but not on this board, what i find is most people that lose the "line" definition and cross over..

if they would simply pm the mod in question and say a quick sorry, some lame ass excuse about cutting, or whatever, and be just a nice person, most things can be dropped..

But there will always be those that don't understand the issues and crap that mods have to put up with..

A think skin is required to be a mod, however, outright disrespect can never be tolerated..

so without an example.. i can't provide an opinion, but then again.. who cares about my opinion in this..

just sayin.. :)

If you have an issue with something a mod did TO YOU, pm another mod, pm EF frank, fill out a help ticket, or pm the mod in question and talk to them like you would talk to another human in person.
and if you have an issue with something a mod did to someone else... don't even bother asking. :)

^^ and a moderator is always on the job. For better or for worse, its not a hat you can put on and take off depending on the thread.

you have a problem with what you think is a mod doing wrong or think a mod is disrespecting you, your recourse is to send a PM to Admin.
