A very enjoyable comedy

anthrax

MVP
EF VIP
Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986)
With Matthew Broderick

Great movie from the 80's
Good sharp dialogue
Brilliant performances by Matthew Broderick and Alan Ruck

An iconic masterpiece of insouciance for Gen X !

And don't forget the message of this movie :
Life moves very fast, and if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you will miss it

Are you just watching this classic for the first time?

It's the kind of movie I will watch anytime I am channel surfing and run across it. I've seen it a lot.

No I've watched it almost 20 years ago (in 86) but I didn't remember it was so good

And with age you see things differently

I always thought Sloan had the sexiest eyes.....

Yes and she was pretty sexy along the pool

I've just noticed that the "bad" guy in the policestation was Charlie Sheen !

The principal, Ed Rooney, was arrested for child pornography I believe last year or year before last.

Woaww...

Too bad
He is a really good actor
Ed Wood, The Devil's Advocate, Sleepy Hollow,.....

Here is something I got off of google.

Jeffery Jones was charged with one felony count of employing a minor for purposes of taking sexually explicit photos and a misdemeanor count of possessing child pornography. He faces up to three years in prison and would have to register as a sex offender for life. He was released on $20,000 bail. Jones was accused of hiring a 14-year-old boy to pose for photographs. [November 2002]

He also played in Ravenous which was a fucking weird movie (cannibalism)

Yes, it's a good movie
It's an horror movie, a gory movie, a western-like movie

Nice images, great atmosphere, good acting

and above all, very original

Go ahead and try it out, I think you might like it

and don't forget to post your own review of Ravenous
This movie leaves me with a weird taste in the mouth :chomp: and I'm interested of others opinions

I just bought Man on Fire and The Passion and was going to watch it until a little belt broke in my DVD player and now the damn door won't open or close.

Have you seen these and if you have are they any good? (I know it is not comedy)

The Passion is "special" :)

as for "Man on Fire" I really didn't like it
It's the kind of Hollywood movie where you know the end after 2 minutes

The plot is weak with highly improbable situations and stereotyped characters

I really want to watch The Passion. I didn't get to see it at the movies.

I like about anything Denzel Washington plays in so that is why I bought Man on Fire. I hope I don't get disappointed.

TB...Jaws is a classic as is Raiders. I never really got into Star Wars although I did watch all of them.

He's a good actor
but Man on Fire is not Philadelphia
:)

That was a great movie, imo.

Which one ?
Man of fire or Philadelphia ?
