a question for the sushi eating people

i saw a show once where this guy was buying fish for his sushi restaurant and he paid over 100,000 for one tuna
makes you want to be a fisherman

i never sit at the bar...dont like my back to everyone...plus its noisy and if you have a date- you have to turn to look at her the whole time...i perfer a table- its easier and i have more room...i eat alot of sushi.

no offense man, but Todai's is total shit.. seriously. BUFFET SEAFOOD = dangerous

its not high quality, and here is nothing upscale about it.

You need to find a small place with a chef from japan.. then you will really get to experience some quality fish.

Well its not a fine restaurant but its also not an Old Country Buffet either. I said sorta upscale, at least at the one thats downtown here b/c its in a tourist spot so maybe its nicer than the one youve gone too.
If Im going to make reservations to go out to eat its not going to be for sushi

I like all u can eat b/c I stick mainly to eating a ton of protein and no carbs so I can get my protein down since I dont believe in drinking shakes or any of that nonsense.

Thanks though, Ill stick with Mongolian Grill

:lmao: @ PBR having a date

buffets of any kind bother me.

i know of one japanese buffet that is higher scale- i think its around $25 a person and they have tons of sushi chefs, but... it never tastes totally fresh.

i'd rather go to a small restaurant and sit at a table like pbr said- at the bar, you are looking at the sushi chef, not the person you went with.

I tried Mongolian Grill once.. until I found rat bones in the beef.

lol, where do you live that you are finding rat bones in beef. The ones Ive been too have slices of frozen beef and you pick the ingredients of what you want and other slices of meat. Then the chefs throw it on the grill and cook up your ingredients

LMAO...hey bro- i do get them...ive had 3 in 2005....thats two more than Chesty and Biteme...im winning... Btw- stfu.

LOL...

i have a feeling getting a date isn't much of a problem for you.

Todai isn't bad for the price of $25...the one i go to, the sashimi isn't fishy smelly at all...i eat the tuna, salmon, spicy tuna..last time it was 35 pieces of sushi i ate...that was it didn't touch anything else in the place.

a few other places i have been and the place reeks of fishy smell....
