Bill,
For the record, I posted an idea for powerlifting in Monster Muscle. If you didn't like it, you could have contacted me but instead you trash talk on the forums.
You are very quick to burn your bridges. I'd be careful what you say to who. I merely stated the facts whether you like them or not. The fact that I lift in a two layer shows that I was willing to look beyond myself and look out for the sport. The only reassurance you will get about the shirts are from a few lifters. But let me tell you, they will not be able to promote a meet. So what good will it be when it's just a handful of guys talking shit - just another IPA meet.
You told me you always wanted to be the best bencher. At what point is it you and at what point is it the shirt?
You don't have to agree with me, just please have some respect to ask me if you don't understand my statement.
I did not single anyone out. In fact I helped promote you here at BenchAmerica - the poster, billboard, CBS TV - and the 1st thing you do when you don't like something I say is run off and shoot me down.
What's the threat, if you are the best, then you shouldn't be concerned.
I am done on the forums - it's for people who just want to bitch. I am taking powerlifting to the next level. I don't care if you believe in my quest - it's going to happen.
You take away ten or 15 guys that rattle at the mouth and who's going to miss them when we have 25,000 powerlifters in America.
Keep in mind, I have made many contacts in the last year and I am doing all that I can to promote this sport. Who else can you say is truly doing that? I collected no dues, didn't charge for the meet, and spent the last year with 9 other staff people spending every last minute to make this happen.
You show the potential of being great at times and then you run off with the mouth at others. You got mad at Sean, then KK, now me.
I'll let it go because I can see beyond that but as a friend I am telling you that you need to be careful and serious consideration to the direction of powerlifting in the years to come. And someday, you'll have to clean up - you can't juice forever. then what? Where will you lift?
Take care of yourself - I am off the forums.
Joe
