$700 Atm

Yes I drove and was in a hurry, completed the transaction, left, and 10 minutes later I realized I left the cash in the ATM.

So i drive back like a meteor, and I see no cash in he ATM ( well duh lol)
And as i sit there feeling like a fruit cake, some guys pull out of the parking lot space, drives up to me and says:

"hey did you loose something"

I said Yes 700$ lol ( yes i said lol)

he said " Her you go i have it, in this envelope, I was going to put it in the ATM with a note but thought it was better to take it and come back in the AM to the bank when its open"

I was like WOW, you are one of a kind......:)

I insisted he take 40$ just as a finders fee lol
I also expressed how thankful i was

That is awesome... I have done things like this before ref: I was at the Food Lion buying a dinner for me and the Mrs... and there were a family of mexicans in front of me counting change etc: there 4 children wanted the pez things and the father said they could not afford it... I bought there entire grocerys plus the pezes .... it makes you feel good if nothing else... I do hope you send him a nice gift certificate to a nice restaurante... take care

wow, most atm's limit your cash to 200-300 per day.. looks like your limit is raised for some reason..

it's usually 400-500. never seen it that low. i think there are some banks with 1k

mines 500 at my bank

and I asked the bank to raise the limit fee:)

you do this by going in person and asking for it.

I am saying this just so you know the story is true

I figured you were going to use the money to talk our little buddy Rocky Roads out of being a stripper.

I thought you were going into The Cracker Barrel and make it rain for her!!!

Or was that the extra weight cost for getting big elephant trunks on overseas transport?

I do think people forget that people have integrity.

I live in a world where I expect people to have integrity and honour, and funny thing about that is, the majority of people around me are like this.

It's great.
 
I once forgot a $6 cartoon DVD in my shopping cart in the parking lot of a store. When I got home, I took a chance and called the store to see if MAYBE, POSSIBLY someone who took the cart next would just drop it off (it's a damn scooby doo DVD of the television shows!) Anyway, drop it off at the help desk or whatever. Ehh, I took a chance. Well, when I asked, the girl LAUGHED IN MY FACE and said "You think someone is going to give it back?" like it wasn't even remotely possible. wtf? Then she started saying some other shit, but I said "OK Thanks" and hung up. wtf.

Hey look, I'm 46 years old and I found a Scooby doo DVD, I won't return it while I'm going into the store anyway, but bring it home and possibly throw it out in the garbage. Fuck everyone except me! yes! What else can the world do for me? What else?

Now I'm all pissed off again. Not for the $6 but the fact that I bought it for my little girl and I "lost" it, she didn't get to watch it. Seriously, only karma would help me now. That's how bad I feel.

Did I mention my little girl was sad? Yep, karma would help.

Oh man, that is awesome. That is one good thing about living in Kentucky. There are lots of good people like that here.

I would have been sick to my stomach if I left $700 in the ATM. Holy cow.

how do you possibly leave cash in an atm?
at what stage of the transaction do you forget to remove, count and place the cash on your person?

if i found someone else's money at the ATM i would definitely return it to the bank
 
WOW, just think of the K that guy has comming, 5-6 g's at least. Prolly more if he hadn't taken the 40 bucks.... good for him.

I would have gone to the bank in the AM as well and asked if anyone had lost something, make them tell me the exact amount and approx time.
