7 year old hangs himself.

man that's sad. Especially considering that it may have been over a poor grade in school. seems like bad parenting, if that's true. maybe they held the kid to ridiculous standards and put too much stress on him.

it does happen and it's tragic. My former district capt.'s son hung himself in their tool shed back in 1997. He was just 8 years old.

Good thing he killed self earlier in life then, 'cause he sure as hell wouldn't have made it through HS or college.

or maybe he was just smart and opted out............. :whatever:

massive props to the lil dude if that was the case.........cause it's hard to imagine a 7 yr old being that stressed over grades.

I'm surprised I didn't see this posted over on the striver college admissions boards where they discuss killing selves after getting a B on an exam.

I am speechless..:cold:

You'd probably have to read college admission boards for my comment to be humerous to the general person. There's lots of perfectionist strivers out there that go into depression if they don't get into a top Ivy and scoff at going to a TTT "lower Ivy" like UPenn or Columbia. (To average people like me, these people are strangly fascinating yet sad, lol.)

I wonder if his curiosity got the better of him playing with a rope, and possibly imitating something he seen on TV.

I'm surprised a 7 y.o. could construct a noose or slip knot.

My son will be 7 in dec,and he can barly tie his shoes. The though of him tieing a knot capable of hanging himself is puzzling to me.

Holy shit, that is terrible...Obviously some type of neglect must be from the parents. That is not normal behavior for a child, therefor there is something much deeper!!!!
