6'7" 190 LBS, Skinny, Can not gain weight, Please Help!

...that and 3000 calories blows goats if you arent gaining... two of my shakes adds up to almost that ammount... but i'll tell you where the secret lies...
beef...
...now do us all a favor a POST YOUR DIET... then we can go from there...

I am 6' 7" also and used to weigh 205lbs a few years back. Curently I'm up to 240lbs at about 12% BF. First off you should not be doing any cardio period! Start slamming gallons of whole milk and jars of all natty peanut butter to add cals to your current diet. Also you should be doing squats, dead lifts, heavy bench, bent over rows, etc.. Don't waste your time doing light isolation movements-go heavy and eat like a mofo! Good luck bud!

I just started training a friend who is your exact weight and height! Stop worrying about getting fat. Quit the cardio, up the calories to about 5000 a day. Every inch adds to your metabolic speed. The taller you are, the more you need to eat. Also, I would suggest training with heavy weights, only a few sets per bodypart and not more than 3 times per week. Your body type requires specific things in order to grow.
I started out 5 years ago at 6'2" and 140 lbs. and now am fairly lean at 210. Good luck!

My diet:
8 eggs, 1 whole, 6 whites, oatmeal and wheat toast.
2 can of Tuna
Salad and Peanut butter
bran cereal and tuna
protein shake
some type of turkey/chicken sub
chicken, rice meal

It varies from there, but that is normall what I consume in a normal day.

That is probably about 2500 calories..You need to be over 4500 calories! I would eat more red meat, chicken and potatoes. You can always add weightgainer shakes.. I used to make one that was 1200 calories.. :)

You cant have it both ways, gain the weight, not all of it will be fat.. You can still do cardio, I see no need to stop doing that, unless your doing hours/day at a time.. Nothing wrong with keeping your heart healthy.

Now when you guys are talking about eating 5000 calories are you talking like junk food? or real food. Start eating alot of fatty foods to? or stay away from the fat and eat for calories. I eat out alot because of my occupation so what are some good fast food places to eat at? Taco Bell? Chipotle? Big chicken buritos?

I suggest eating "decent" foods like: hamburgers (lean, but with cheese or whatever), sweet potatoes, steak, chicken etc. BUT, don't be afraid to have some ice cream, cake or whatever when you have the opportunitty- just don't rely on it. As italianmuscle said, try a weight gainer shake. If I was you, my diet would look something like this:

3000 calories from regular foods (i.e. hamburgers, steak, potatoes etc.)
1500 calories from shakes (2 750 calorie shakes are not hard to fit in: 12 oz. 2% milk, 1 scoop of protein powder, ground flax seed, 3 scoops of skim powdered milk etc.)
500 calories in junk snacks, i.e. one ice cream or something like that every day (man sized serving...)

Oh, yeah. If you feel you are getting too fat, take a couple weeks and go back to your strict diet and cardio. Because you will have been eating higher calories, you will have a greater calorie burning effect when you go into a deficit. But, keep it to a short period of time and then get back on the high calorie.

Whats up everyone! This whole site and Forum is all new to me the the health and fitness area is not. What I am posting about is, I can not gain any weight and I am really smalled boned. My wrists are smaller than the average girl's and no matter how much I workout I can not gain any muscle. I have tried all the diet tricks, high protein, supplement drinks, everything. I am 23 years old and I want to make my body look better by working out in the gym but it does not work. I normally work out 4-5 days a week, lifting each body part on different days, seperated by cardio. I get plenty of rest and have a geat diet. If anyone could help me out with what I should do to bulk up, because the gym is not working for my body structure. Thanks guys/gals!

The first thing I would say is lay off the cardio. Secondly gaining weight is about math. If you eat more than you burn, you'll put on weight. The trick is to making sure its not all bad weight. Don't worry about being cut up, put on the fat and muscle, then cut the fat. Or you can dial your diet in perfectly and you can minimize the fat gain.
