6.5 weeks out from first show, critique pics

Pull your trunks up to make a "V" on your hips. Start doing two sets of high rep chins (assisted is ok) 3 times a week and concentrate on the squeeze. I am an NPC judge and one weakness I see is you lack back density. Many here say you are holding water which is true but I also think after the show you need to concentrate on heavy rowing movements. Are you still on any test? It will make you hold fat in your back too. Overall your structure is great and you are thick and solid. What is your deit now? I may be able to help you get even leaner. I am 3.7% @ 226# and I am 5.5 weeks out.

Thanks guys, back is holding all kinds of water. You cant see it cuz of the way that I'm posing, but my lower back is actually super thick. Remember, this is the guy with the video deadlifting a raw 10 reps on 500lbs, I'm just leaning too far forward to see it.

once u deplete that water ur back and legs will be scary, ur pecs and abs are perfection for 6 weeks out, i can only imagine what ull look like at time for comp, good luck bro.

I remember your dead so I know you pull but you also have to "feel" the muscle especially on back. I am training A BB now who used to powerlift. He is thick but he lacks detail. We worked on him for six months and changed him a lot. He won his class in the Indiana State and it was his second show ever. First one was two weeks before. I am teaching him to feel the muscle instead of just moving the weight. Shit! Have you ever seen Flex Wheeler train? I was ashamed! But he just squeezes away. Not that everyone can do that but the point is learn to feel the muscle you are training even if its heavy.

Quad, that is probably the best advice I've seen a while concerning training. I had horrible pecs, and once I started squeezing the pecs to push the weight up, and really feeling it in them, they blew up. I have since applied it to all my exercises. If I can't get the weight up withouth feeling it completely in the muscle, I lower it.

Very good and coming along very well since your last set of pics. Other than the water that you are holding I think that you are ready to rip up the stage!! Good Luck and keep us updated!!

Quad, thanks for the advice and I totally agree. For back I usually concentrate on big deadlifts, and havent worried so much about the detail movements. I do them, but after pulling that kind of weight its tough to give it the effort it needs. After the show when I go back to bulking I plan on only doing deads every other week, and the ones in between really concentrating on weighted chins and rows.
I'll pm you the diet as fyre doesnt want me posting it all over the place. As its only a level 1 I'm only aiming for 4-5%. This whole thing has given me a lot of ideas for the next years training to bring up the weak spot and put on more mass
