Hello everyone. So as i reckon from your view that i have read, the 5x5 Starr program is mainly for strength and not so much for a bodybuilder look or even a lean beach body look.
I am thinking of doing 5x5 from September till January in order to gain some strength and what abour later? Is there a training program that you can reccomend like evereone is recommending Bill Starr's 5x5 when it comes to strenghth? Is there another "bible"
program for those that what something else instead of 5x5 all the time? I am doing now a combination of 5x5 core exercises and 2-3 more isolated exercises
e.g Monday i do Bench Press 5x5 and then superset cable flies+Low incline DB presses+Decline Press 3x10
Tuesday i do Squat 5x5 and then superset Lying Harmstrings+Lunges+calves 3x10
Thursday i do Bent over Row 5x5 or Deadlift 5x5 then superset open grip pulldown+seated rows 3x10
Friday or Saturday Military Press 5x5 Superset Incline Raises+Close Grip shrugs+Behind the back shrugs
All these with usual cardio HIIT etc This is the program i use the past 3 months for cutting and is working i can say. I am finishing it End of june.
Now I just want to know if there is a training program to start from January onwards because till January as i mentioned before i will be using Bill Starr 5X5.
