5x5 and cutting cycle

Can you incorporate the 5x5 workout in a cutting cycle or is it better in a mass building program.
 
I've started the single-factor 5x5 and I'm still trying to shed bodyfat. So far, my strength has gone back up to my all-time highs and the fat's still coming off. My results might be better if I were bulking but good training is good training.

Thx. I'm also looking for the same answers; but I don't feel like searching :)
 
A training theory is a training theory. dieting is about calories in vs. calories out. you can apply either a caloric deficit or surplus to any theory.
