5+ Month Cycles...Who has done them, who has recovered?

nothing to be proud of but i stayed on for 3 years straight. since it was rumored that the top dogs did it , so did i .no sexual/health problems- thank god , but nothing worked after awhile and now my body is expert at aromatization , even after along layoff . i get nipple pain like a motherfucker after a few weeks now. i still use drugs but now the mission is to eat clean and train very strict and just undo the damage

Whoa...very hardcore indeed. I can never imagine staying on for that long espeically considering I am scared sh!t to run my first cycle for 12 weeks! And you say almost everything was fine? Like testicle size, hairline, and etc?
 
I used to run 20wks for shows. I'd do 8 weeks bulk and 12 weeks cut. In my 20s, I had no recovery problems, even without post C. Everything changed in that regard in my mid 30s though.

holy shit! thats a long one, how were your balls?
 
I've been on for a year now, my balls are fine. I find, from myself and talking to others, that guys who do very long cycles do not have problems with testicular atrophy.

What happens when you decide to come off? Do you just plan on staying on forever?

Maybe recovery will be easy though ...

We'll see. It may not be so bad. It depends ont eh person. I know a guy who stayed on for 6 years when he was competing, and he is still BIG, and seems to have no trouble with his sex drive, and has been off for 9 months, after basically a 6 year cycle. Worse case scenario, my insurance will pay for my hrt. 200 mg of test a week or so. I plan on bodybuilding for the rest of my life at this point.
 
Paulos, you'll liekely need to increase the test atleast, near the end of the cycle. This happens some times as the gains start to taper off.

Stayed on for about 8 months...I have been off almost 2 months now...I had a little trouble with the sex drive but nothing to serious...{Hot ass Italian GF ;)}...I will have blood work done in the nexy month or so and If all is good it's GO time...

What compounds were you using? A brief cycle summary please?
 
My base was Test and Tren...Always is.... I also threw in some tren and some eq for a few weeks also...
 
Just came off. Been on since Feb. Will recover easily I don't doubt it at all. Came off last year after being on for over 6 months and no problems whatsoever. I also stay off for a good amount of time too but in the months leading up to my next cycle I never have had any libido problems and the balls come back quickly for me.

i got 3 weeks left in my 16 weeker.

you got are making me rethink my options...

at least in my experience your gains will probably taper off less than halfway thru ur cycle...so i'd either add another compound somewhere, or bump it up
 
Just started my Pre-Pre-Contest cycle yesterday. I'm going on for 20 weeks. Doing

Test Enanthate @ 500mg wk for weeks 1-16
EQ @ 400mg wk for weeks 1-11
Tren @ 75mg eod for weeks 11-20
winny @ 50mg ed for weeks 11-20
Femera 2.5mg/eod throughout cycle, and clen 2wks on 2wks off.

Calories are currently around 2480. I'll be keeping a journal and charting my progress all the way through, with pics and all. I'm hoping that I won't lose much muscle waiting for the damn Test and EQ to kick in. Wondering if I should add some winny in at 50mg/day for the first 4 weeks to help preserve any muscle loss while the test and EQ start to kick in. Any opinions?

If anything, add dbol 1-4 at 20mg ED. Save the winny to maximize effect for last 8wks. Also - consider running tren 75mg ED. Finally, watch the long acting test to close to the show....

Thanks Stillgoing :) I have dbol, but thinking of saving it for the next bulking cycle. The reason I considered the winny was because I have more than enough of it around. I'm doing a pre-pre-contest cycle (not a typo :) ) Trying to see how low I can drop bodyfat in the 20 weeks before I start the regular pre-contest cycle a few months after that to make it a bit easier. I've got a couple shows lined up for the spring. So on that note, what do you think about the winny in the beginning?

Oh, week 20 isn't the show, its the start of typical pre-contest period. Ok, I missed that. That will change my thoughts. In that case, 1- I would continue to run the test all the way through, 2- winny to ramp up, if you want. Frankly, if your going to be on for 32 weeks (20 pre-pre + 12 pre), then there's no need. You don't really need a jump start. But, if it helps you pyschologically, then have at it. 3- If in fact, your running the 20wk pre-pre then the 12wk pre, I wouldn't run tren & winny like you are. You want to save them for the pre period. IMO there are no 2 better precontest drugs than those. So, I'd run the test all the way through to the pre, consider running the EQ longer or, switch to something else, maybe deca. I would keep to long acting for the pre-pre. Your going to be on for a long time and long acting make for a much easier cycle. Also, test/eq will be just fine for getting down to a lean pre-contest bodyfat. You don't need fina & winny to get down to 8% or so. Diet & cardio & the test can do that fine. Then for pre, run the tren/winny, test or drol, etc.
 
i've been on since the summer of '98. my testicles are the size of rice grains and i often-times tuck them inside my asshole to try and "incubate them" back to health...
 
is there really a difference between a 4 month cycle and an 8 month cycle??

Good question. I would think most would answer yeah but you'll be shut down much harder with the longer cycle, but, it would be interesting to hear if in fact thats the case. It seems some bros recover well, no matter what they do, and some bros don't recover well, no matter what. Ok, then some are in between, rendering any value to the previously statement, mostly worthless :confused:

I've been on since end of april, and I'm doing one more cycle soon: 30mg dbol ed, 500mg/wk test, 600mg/wk deca
 
I got off a six month cycle almost 3 months ago. Recovery went very well. I am about 3 lbs lighter than I was before I came off. Although my next cycle will most likely be a 12 weeker, I will probably do one for at least a year after that. For my next long cycle I will probably adjust test amounts every 8-12 weeks. 8-12 at 750-1000mgs test followed by a "cruising" dose of about 200mg a week for 4 weeks. Of coarse I will be adding and removing other compounds throughout the cycle as well.
 
I think as one gets into their 30s and 40s that naturally lower test will be less bearable after we've experienced the alternative, making long term hrt the best solution for mental and physical reasons.
 
Do them often. You get used to it and recovery is not as hard as people seem to make it. I have come off from a long one and didn't even feel the need for auxiliaries. In fact I have my intended post cycle HCG.

This was true for me as well, in my 20s. Cycle length didn't matter and I didn't do post-c. I didn't push it too hard though, always low dose, and, never over 5 months in length. As I mentioned before, in my mid 30s, all that changed. Recovery from any cycle became a bitch. Proper post-c therapy helped recover test to MY normal level, only 400, but, all gains were still lost. I simply don't have the natural T to remain good muscularity & lean at the same time.
 
Mine has turned out to be five or so and I am coming off now. It sucks though. My body just seems to not be responding as well now so it is time. I want to come off for a few months and start with another, well planned HEAVY cycle. Out of curiousity and for good reason considering the question, what is your age?
