5 lifts, you choose!!

Ok, here is the question. If you could only do 5 different lifts for the rest of you gym life, what would they be. Granted certain lifts work better for different life styles(purpose of lifting), so what are your choices. Not really your favorite, but the 5 that would help you get to your goals. Also tell your goals. Example: if you are going for mass, strength, definition etc...

Back squats on a low box. Wide bent leg GM's. Glute Ham Raises. Power cleans. OHP.

Football.

Deadlifts, squats, incline bench, military press, pull-ups.

Wish I could include good mornings and barbell rows too though.

Goal: overall strength.

In no particular order:

ATF squats
Deadlifts
Clean/Push-Press
Chain-suspended GM's
Box squats

I train for strength and power.

Squat, Bench, Deadlift, Clean, OHP

Strength and Power...

Stairmaster, threadmill, tricep kickbacks, concentration curls and yoga.

LOL!

Squat (works legs and whole body indirectly)

Incline Bench (with DBs or BB - hits shoulders, pecs, & triceps)

T-Bar Row (you can adjust stance/grip to hit different areas of the back, this is also a biceps exercise)

Clean & Press (manages to hit the back & traps in addition to being a heavy shoulder exercise)

Deadlift (another back/whole body)

I would almost put a biceps or calf exercise in place of deads, as I think that if you do heavy squats, you will build your legs and back anyway. However, my calves genetics are wonderful and biceps would get hit heavily indirectly anyway so I'll go with the popular response and stick with the deads.

1. leg extensions
2. cable flyes
3. cable curls
4. cable press-downs
5. cable laterals

i feel that these exercises are essential for building strength and size.

hang clean and press, conventional deadlift, parallel squat, incline barbell press, weighted pullups. To become as explosive as a dynamite until i can do a plyo pushup that will lift me 3 feet off the ground.

This is a fun topic. . here are my choices:

1. squats
2. partial deadlifts
3. barbell rows
4. incline presses
5. seated barbell presses

This would be for strength and size. . why train for one thing when you can have the best of both worlds?
