405 RAW falls for two singles!!!

today after a week off from training, i came back as strong as ever. my shoulder is 100% which enabled me to hit come crazy numbers. i hit 395 for a double then hit 405 for 2 singles on RAW bench. then i do 4-boards and hit 485 for a triple on those as well as hitting 465 for 2 singles on 3-boards. my shoulder didn't bother me one bit!! it still feels 100% now!!! i also hit 405 for 4 reps on barbell rows as well. i'm glad that i'm able to do 405 RAW now whereas a year ago, i couldn't do 405 w/o bench shirt. you never know what a week's worth of rest will do to a body. also, scott cartwright on deeps board gave me the idea for the reps which worked like a charm!!! tb

Nice job man. My goal is to bench 400 before my 21st birthday...might be hard to get though, unless I start a full out powerlifting routine.
 
nice brother. i bet in your bench shirt your pushing well over 500lbs now.......... good progress.

According to BodyByFinaplex, he still has you by 50lbs. . .after all he said he could press 455lbs for a triple at 200lbs.

You pressing is totally awesome!!! Do you perform any incline work?
 
thanks fellas. this thursday we'll find out if i can go over 500, me and jon both hope to. but it seems that its very much possible at this point!!

getting to 405 is an feat. i had a few guys watching double 395 and doing the singles w/405. its a good feeling indeed, but in your case, 405 @185 is fuckin freaky!!! tb
 
oh it did, brotha. oh and i guess its a mood point but i did 415 not 405 like i said in the first place. just looked at my log and did 415 for 4 on barbell rows. just something to mention. LOL tb

haven't done any incline work in a while single i held back on MM training. but i did do 325 for a single on those though. tb

Awesome strength! Its rare to see someone push that much on the incline. Incline is a strength of mine also, real close to my flat bench. I havent hit 405 unassisted yet on the flat still at 360 :( But with a spot I get so much stronger. ThanX for the compliment though. Your lifts are mind-blowing. We definately need to chat! Keep it up bro!!!!!!!!! Damn...:D :newbie: :elephant: :bigbuck:

Are you sure it was at 200 ibs? I thought I was 220 at the time, but well Swain knows best. Guess we are just going to keep beating this dead horse.

Actually, just to settle my curiosity, those who laughed, as well as Swain, could you please post your stats for me? I would kind of like to know what you guys weigh and what sort of weights you handle.

Yep, and neither time did I start it. However I'm not going to sit silently and allow people to badmouth me for no other reason than I posted up some numbers, which are legit, and they were better than theirs. It isn't like I rubbed them in anyones face or implied they were a lesser person because they couldn't lift as much as I can. Honestly I could care less. One's value as a person, or a bodybuilder (I'm not a powerlifter), has nothing to do with how much they bench press. I'm just curious about how big of a difference we are talking about. I mean, since I have witnessed guys at gyms with more impressive lifts, I'm curious just how ineffective the training, diet and drug stacking methods are of the guys who place value on their squat, bench and deadlift are if they think my numbers are unbelievable or funny. That is not a statment I mean in a hurtful manner, it is a question I honestly and truely have... and I think we both know the answer.
 
My point being made, and now that we know the answer to my question, I'll drop this and not say a word from now on when Swain or rev, or some of the others, comment on the subject. There is no need for me to comment.

I think you are destined for greatness. . .the ability to rep with 455lbs for 3 reps after only 3 years of training is truly remarkable!! Its a good thing you stopped performing heavy presses. . .I don't blame you after 3 tender years of training, you could easily blow out your shoulders.

I look forward to seeing you in the mags someday. . .I am pretty sure you will perform some damage at the national level.

i basically use the high volume and shirt work of metal militia and the rest is based on westside barbell. this little combination including plyos has helped me a lot. also, i started doing high reps to increase my explosion strength which helped this past monday. email me and i'll tell ya more. Swain, well you will never see there. I have no asperations to use 5 grams a test a week to become an IFBB pro, nor do I plan on powerlifting. You might catch me at an NPC show though.

Possible wasted potential. . . goals sound reasonable.

Come on man, you can hang with Dorian Yates on bench press poundages, so what makes you think you can't get to pro level without using 5 grams of test per week? With a 505lb squat for reps, you would easily be able to hang with the boys out in southern California.

Never ever sell yourself short. . . .there are many days of training ahead of you.

It's refreshing to see someone sensible enough to shy away from the crazy amounts of drugs that the pro's use and stick with Fina. Especially after a little under 4 years training.

Glad to see your head is on straight.:)

I've been told by several powerlifters that I'm waiting my potential. Anyway, I've talked to pros and know what they use and what it takes to compete at that level. The amount of drugs that alot use scares the hell out of me. I'll try to go as far as I can, using what I feel comforatable with, and by busting my ass, however I have no illusions about earning a pro card.

I'm on 75 mg of tren ed, 25 mg of winstrol ed, and 400 mg of eq once a week, and that is about the limit of what I'm willing to use. I've tried insulin, and do not wish to use it anymore. Hgh, r3long igf-1, huge doses of test, etc are not for me.

my own story, lol. many would say a boxer gone wrong. A decent baseball player turned strength athlete. Lately I have been training for Strongman and have competed in two tournament. You'll see some vids hopefully this weekend at T3C's place
