Ok...so I'm considering some alternatives.

I'm 6'2", 40year old, 260lbs and would guess between 15-20% BF.
Arms and legs are lean...basically stubborn midsection.

Have never seen my abs.

Is there a 'medical' solution here?

How do I get started?

hey brother...

to start with we need a little more info... do you work out, or do you do any cardio...

regardless, sounds like you need to get your diet in check...

Find a Dr. who will prescribe you HRT drugs.
Like slim said take a look at your diet. I think for a man your age, the situation of having lean limbs and a gut is pretty common. So diet and cardio may work. A quick fix would be ab etching or Lipo.

I've been actively doing cardio (jogging) for 2 months now (10-15 miles/week) and I absolutely HATE IT. I enjoy playing basketball, and if I could lose 10-15 would probably be confident to run "skins" on the court.

I have the dicipline to diet, but I usually beat myself up if I miss a workout or jog then say WTF and eat crap...plus I have a wife and 3 young kids (cookies, etc)

I thought there might be steroid options to "fast-track" me.

I'll research HRT drugs...and I work in a med facility and buddy up to the providers.

I'm not sure what 15-20% BF looks like, I was just guessing my BF...I look pretty good except for the gut...slight dbl chin.

Thanks for the replies...

Steroids are definetely NOT the answer for you.

Sorry bro. Now magic bullet here. You're going to have to get your shit together with no excuses. Learn to work out the right way. Eat the right way. Take the right supps. After a year or so, if you want to kick it up a notch, gear can help. Right now it'll be like handing an airplane over to someone with no flying skills and saying; "Go ahead -- take 'er up!"

But at 40, I dont think its unreasonable to have a HRT dr. monitor his gh and test levels and prescribe supplementation if necessary.

eat better is the best place to start.

yeah, eating better and try some trex or some inhibitor so you dont want to eat that shit. Try the elliptical and mix it up. If you dont use a mp3 or cd player, get one, it makes it go a lot faster. I started yrs ago and watched my minutes per mile and kept hitting it, trying to beat the time I had. After I had leveled off, I watched my heartrate and kept it steady at the fat burning rate. It gave me an incentive to keep going.

I agree about gear not being for you but other more xperienced bros here have already told you that. Stick with it and get some supps and good vitamins for the energy to get aerobic. Good luck.
