32 years old. 380 test level question

New member
Got my test levels checked because of all the low test symptoms..depression/anxiety, foggy brain, bad memory, shitty libido..etc.
Doc said well all is good becuase your test levels are in the normal range. It was 380.
After reading I find out that the normal range of 250-1200 is bull shit and that 250-300 should be the level of a 90 year old man.
Will a HRT doc put me on test with a 380 Testosterone level? Im seeing an endocrinologist because I had my thyroid removed, but he doesnt seem to give a flying shit about my testosterone levels.

First of all...I am not a Doctor and do not profess to be.

In my opinion...380 at your age is low normal. Find a good HRT Dr. that will use not only your blood test but also feed back from you to make a decision on HRT.

Don't know where you are but if you post that info someone here will jump in and refer you to a Dr. that is local to you.

an hrt dr isn't going to help the symptoms and at 32 that is what I think, however if you want to reduce your chances of ever being than pm me....

a referral for a HRT doc in the new orleans, LA area, pls?

Im sorry but I dont understand what you are tryng to say

An hrt dr is not going to find the problem with your body and get your natural test levels up an endo has the best chance, an hrt dr will give you test which will pretty much guarantee the shutting down of your natty production and reduce your potential for ever being in a normal test range. Based on your age I think it is difficult for you to access the term for life. I am 42 started on HRT at 39 I am 3 years into it and sometimes wonder if this is the road I am going to stay on. I just want to make sure understand that hormone levels are not something to take lightly. Are you married? How is your spouse going to feel about you taking testosterone for the rest of your life?

What makes you doubt about living on HRT?

Im married and my wife is irritated with me always complaining about how I dont feel like I used to, anxiety, depression, low sex drive..etc so she is fine with it if it makes me stop acting like a little bitch and get back to how I used to be. I may have to find a different Endo like I said he only cares about what my thyroid levels are and couldnt care less about my testosterone no matter how much I ask him he wont even check it.

I went to see a HRT doc today and hes bad ass. Told me 380 test levels should be normal for a 80 year old man. Gave me a shot of test @ 250mg. I come back every 10 days for another shot. Did blood work and is going to keep track of my free testosterone and prostate levels along with all the basics.
All this for a $15 co-pay. Im stoked

What test is he using? Probably cypionate.

Once your get everything dailed in with him, try to convience him/her to allow you to inject yourself weekly. Every 10 days a too far apart to keep your levels stable.

I asked if I can do it myself and he kinda frowned on it. Said I could come in every 10-14 days so I opted for the soonest. Id rather be injecting once every 5-7 days. Im wondering if he doesnt make as much money if I dont come in for the injects and do them myself?
Im pretty sure its cypionate, Ill ask next time.
This guy is real cool and understands whats up. Hes pretty jacked and uses test himself...says his natural levels were the same as mine.

It's all about the money. He is hitting your insurance carrier for the office visit and the Test shot...I'm guessing about $125/visit. Once you get to know this guy a bit more...let him know that you don't mind him giving you the injection...you just want to stabilize it a bit. See if he will write you for a vial of Testosterone Cypionate 2000 ml (200 MG/cc). You can get 20 weeks out of it at 100mg or .5 cc per injection/week...that's what I do. Get a Rx also for the pins and syringes. Buy it out of pocket and keep it off your insurance. You can get the Test Cyp at Costco for about $57 and the pins and syringes at Walgreens for about $20. You get to stabilize your amounts and he gets to monitor. Think about it...on your side you are going to spend $15 every time you see him anyway and for less than $5/week you get extra for stabilization. I buy a 1 cc syringe with a removable 20 GA x 1" pin for drawing up plus loose 22 GA x 1.5" pins for the injection.Get 10 of each and you will spend about $20. Once you draw up with the 20, switch over to the 22...the pins thread on and off. Give this some time and don't push the Dr....wait 4~6 weeks and see how it gos. Talk to him also about Arimidex for estrogen conversion control.

Educate yourself and realize that you are dealing with a serious thing here...this is not a toy...use you head and you will benefit greatly from this. Read as much as you can about this and remember...no question is a stupid one. Every one here is here to help you with your thinking.

Good Luck!

getting a prescription would be ideal. Ill see what he says in a few weeks. I probably will have to get a script for adex on cypionate. Last time I ran test enanthate at 500mg a week my face ballooned up even using nolvadex. Last time I ran a cycle was almost 4 years ago test/tren/anavar
