3.2 years left to live!

It’s my birthday today and as usual I’m miserable about being numerically one year closer to the grave, got me thinking about the time I’ve wasted in the past and how much longer I’ve got left on this planet.

OK, so if you take the average lifespan as being three score and ten years or 25,550 days, then think about all those activities that would normally fill up each day and multiply by 25,550 to get the total time spent doing that activity throughout your life, obviously it’s not going to be same for everyone but for example….

sleeping – 8 hours per day, 8517 days
working – 5 hours per day (taking into consideration weekends and holidays), 5323 days
eating and preparing food – 1.5 hours per day, 1597 days
gym/exercise – 1 hour per day, 1065 days
shower/bathing – 1 hour per day, 1065 days
toilet – 0.25 hours per day, 266 days
cleaning/chores – 0.5 hours per day, 532 days
traveling from a2b – 1.5 hours per day, 1597 days
watching TV – 1 hour per day, 1065 days
sex/masturbation/viewing porn – 0.75 per hours per day, 798 days
reading – 1 hour per day, 1065 days
chatting on the telephone – 0.5 hours per day, 532 days

what about all the little things?

haircuts - 1 hour per month, 35 days!
finding your keys – 0.05 hours per day, 53 days!
checking yourself out in the mirror – 0.08 hours per day, 85 days!
scratching your sack in the morning– 0.01 hours per day, 10.5 days!
etc, etc, etc the list is endless

If you total all that up it comes to 23605 hours leaving a total of 1945 hours or 5.3 years. I’m 29 now so that means I’ve got approximately 3/5 of my life left leaving me with a grand total of 3.2 years!

3.2 years give or take to do something constructive….so much to do yet so little time.

I consider myself to be living when I'm doing lots of little things. I LOVE driving to and from work. That's my happy down time. I manage to enjoy myself at work. I like life in general. Life's as good as you make it.
