200lbs Dumbbells

my school gym only goes to 100's. ive only seen 1, maybe 2 other people besides me be able to use them on flat with good form. and im 5-10, 175 so there are MUCH bigger people that head in there besides me. the thing that sucks is i am doing 4X8 easy and have no higher dbs to move up to.

how about someone finding a video of some crazy mofo repping out 200lb dumbells curling or benching them??? hehehe :artist:

Find a copy of Ronnie Coleman's "The Unbelievable" online. He uses the 200s on both flat and incline.

I gotta take a pic of these babies! I just made a pair of 285's! Cap barbell makes a pro db handle that will hold 10-10's per side...OR 7-20's! Voila...285 per db! They're pretty oh so pretty!

*I'm going to practice my farmers walk now!*

Awesome! Can you row with them too? I was going to get a pair of custom DB's. How much do they cost? Keep KILLING that shit!!

They're too tall to row with. I added up the cost of materials and i would have to sell them for around $155 a piece.

Nice. Out of my price range! Sounds perfect for farmers though. I believe I saw a dumbell handle online for around 20$. Not sure where though.

i would use them for db shrugs and eventually incline and flat db presses. Ive done 150lbs before on flat presses.

Awesome shit brother!! Never used the DB's too much for chest. I might throw them into my routine occasionally on my free-for-all chest day. Ever since I stabbed my hand with a butter knife, seperating two hamburger patties when I was 19, the scar tissue causes alot of pain in the hand and sometimes it gives out. KEEP KILLING THAT SHIT BROTHER!!

It would take a lot of adjustment for me too be able to handle dbs that big, if ever. Im just not willing to give up that much time away from bb bench, love it way too much. So, would i ever use them...i probably would try if they were at my gym, but since the vast majority dont, then i probably wont.

Know what you mean brother. Id have to do them steadily atleast once a week to really improve on them. When I tried dumbells years ago I could never get my chest sore with them. It always takes alot of abuse for me to get sore, and the barbell seems to do the job much better. Plus I just like the feel of a loaded barbell better. I can also get those extra or forced reps if I choose, without getting smacked with a dumbell when I reach failure. And lastly, it takes alot of energy just to lug those things around, and I could see myself getting a back injury just from that. Maybe not, but theres just too many reasons for me to stick with the barbell. I get my heavy dumbell fix on back day anyway. I might even throw in some heavy seated dumbell presses for shoulders every once in a while. Keep KILLING that shit!!

Beast, wanna mix it up...try 5 sets of standing db shoulder presses next delt day. My shoulders have been growing slow for a year now and about two weeks ago i threw these in. Holy shit! Having to walk through doors sideways now and my bench is creeping up again.
