Doc told me never to squat again :(

also told me never to DL again....that's when I told him to kiss my arse
me too.

I pwned myself last week with 55#. 3 sets of 12. What an embarrassment to the human race I am.

i was awakened with knee pain today. i couldn't straighten it out. scared me pretty good. since squatting is important to me. my life is nothing without it.....

i'm currently doing a workout from an olympic coach. its a three week rotational program with reps going from 20 to 15 to 10 on the different weeks.

doing 20 squats isn't fun i did almost puke. also took 3 days to walk right again.

My knees are cursing just reading that.

Im doing a 2 split DC style. So i rotate one of those exercises every other training. Yeah, its tough on the knees no doubt. But my legs have exploded the last year.

what kinda weight sub?
i never do more than 8 or 9, my form goes to shit and that's when injuries happen

Huh?

i do one exercise per training. 1 set of 4-8 reps and 1 set of 20+ reps.

ahhh. whew! i thought you meant you had to do all 3 in a workout. something would either break or you'd hold back to get through them all.

now I gotcha.

yeah, the only reason i do them is to work on keeping form when the going gets tough.

i prefere 5-10 reps, but this helps your workload and just helps me work on keeping form no matter how hard your pushing

I'm trying to get back into reps...too many years of singles and my stamina sucks, though my 1rm has been climbing.

I did a program called breathing squats. Squats is the focus of the first workout. everything else gets touched on in the second. Basic compund moves, mainly. With the squats, you take a weight you can do 10 strict reps with, and do 20 instead. Take as long as you need, just get the 20 in. Holy mother of God, did my legs hurt.

i think you're FOS, but i hope that's how you do it. not like these fat-assed "500" lbs. squatters with a ROM that's less than my bench. i'd love to wrap myself in polymers and lift something my muscles couldn't handle otherwise.

only old fatties say that. and skinny punks. i've been doing it for years, lots of years and no problems. just don't be stupid and take huge leaps in weight.
