Regarding crossing the boardeer with the gear. I had my gear in the back seat. I mean it was sitting in the brown paper bag on the back seat in clear view. I figured, if i try and stash the gear and they find it, it is obvioulsy attempted smuggling. However, if it is just sitting on the back seat i could always say that i didnt know that it was illegal. Anyway, when i crossed the boarder, the lady asked me "are you a US citizen?" i said "yes", end of story. I was on my way home to LA.
