11/23/05 update

A few people have asked how I am doing progress wise.
My goal is to get to 240 or 245 at under 10% body fat.
I am definately getting softer. Here are two shots I took with my phone last night.

My injury situation is slowing me down a bit. I partially tore my right bicep tendon at my second job during a fight. The irony is that it is the same way I partially tore my left bicep tendon.
The result is that I am having trouble doing anything wide grip with heavy wieghts.
Here are my stats as of last night:

6'3"

240.5 lbs

body fat = 10.19%
lbm = 216
fat = 24.5

*I am still clean. Doing everything the old fashioned way!
 
OMG.. the difference between my signature picture and now is SO depressing!
I am not sure what my bf% was in that but I am guessing around 7%.
 
Don't be so tough on yourself. You are pretty huge, regardless of the 3% BF... just heal up so you can get back to training harder.

Your up in New Hampshire, you have a long winter. Your still looking great. You would have a really hard time putting on size at the low BF in your sig. P.S. why don't you click on the linke on my sig and put a few tokens on my bookie event, you might get some of that pile on back :) .

My diet is not what it used to be. I really need to clean it up. I have been cheating like a mad man on Sunday's!
I have been skipping breakfast.
Having a shake at 10am
A steak and cheese for lunch
A shake at 3pm
Another one PWO
Dinner is usually steak or chicken
Then another shake before bed.

Obviously, the diet is what is packing the fat on. I am going to try and clean it up this week.

275 would be nice. I am not sure if I will ever use AAS again though. It all depends on my new Dr.
If I did hit 275 it would have to be with abs!
 
hmm, you look decent, no lats...however! you need a VERY different diet if you want to gain weight, why not gain it, then cut? its much easier then gaining as your cutting.

Your right. My lats are gone. I am doing what I can to hang on to what I have. Having a partially torn bicep tendon makes it impossible to do wide grip pullups or anything similar. It sucks.
My diet is shaping back up day by day.
I am having oatmeal with grapefruit juice in the morning for breakfast.
I am also eating a huge sweet potato with dinner now too.
No more cheat meals either.
Lunch is 4 pc's of whole grain bread with All natural, unsalted peanut butter.
I think 245 is within reach. 12% body fat may be more likely though.

I found a picture from 10 years ago when I drank all the time and just ate subs and junk food. Its a riot! I will post it when I can scan it.

I was reading Yate's book and how he worked around his bicep tear.

(1) Palms down on all movements.
(2) A much more narrow grip on all movements, which actually give him better results.
(3) Straps, so he could think "pulling from elbows", actually relax the hand itself, taking the bi out of the movement.

Front pull down, about 24 " grip,
BB rows, grip no wider than thighs, 70 degress
One arm rows, thumb up

I ate like crap Sunday... all day. Monday I felt like I put a few pounds on. I hopped on the scale and it said 237.5. I hate it when that happens. I was hoping more for 245 or so.
 
I stepped on the scale and I was 242 yesterday. I feel like a total fat ass being over 10% body fat! Anyone else have that problem?
My waist is up an inch. Its so depressing.
Instead of waiting until March to get real lean again I may start in January. I can't handle being fat. It screws with my head.
Two other things happened that are effecting me too. I aggrevated my disks in my back again. I am having trouble walking. I look like and old man (still put up 275 on the incline.. Yay).
The other... its so embarrassing. I stopped by my buddies store. He runs a bunch of shows etc and works out a lot. Well, I sat on a metal stool and we were talking for a while when the stool collapsed beneath me. The metal bent and the welds broke. I feel like such a lard ass! It must have been pretty funny though. I was flat on my back when it was over.

239.5 on an empty stomach at the Dr's today. I feel like a fat slob. I think I am slowly going to work back down to 8%... hopefully by March. Then I will go all out for 6 or 7% by June.
 
slat...........still have the beard? bet it's C O L D up there now........the face fuzz must be a comfort....

Shaved it off. I am getting fatter to stay warm :worried:

we are always out own worst critic...i doubt all the gals (and guys) checking you out have noticed any bf gain.

i did notice, the first winter after i starting going topless, what a difference an inch or so of hair makes in insulation value.

even for the mild winters we have here in what's left of nawlinz, various stocking caps come in handy.
 
I am going to update with some pictures by the end of the week. I need the motivation. I am too content being a lard ass right now. If I see 250 on the scale that will snap me into high gear real quick!
