10 hour work days

I used to work from 7AM - 5PM+ (10 hours) everyday in construction type work. I would rarely get home at 5PM. Sometimes 6PM, 7...9.. 10PM. Seriously. It sucked but it was awesome money. No overtime though. I wish.

no overtime here either. salary based wages
 
I've worked four 10 hour shifts per week for almost 9 years. I like it. I have Fri-Sun off from my real job, and enough free time and energy to work as a bouncer Friday nights at a Punk Rock bar. I used to bounce on Saterday also, but that was to much of a energy drain.

same. this is standard when your family ahs a building company - 7-5:30 or 6, then home for a shower, then gym, then home and load the van/truck for the next days work +/- do little jobs like change insect screens bla bla bla then sleep

none of this "weekends off" stuff either, saturday is a workday, but you might stop work at 3-4 if you want to go home/shower so you can go out. sunday theres more prep for the next day/week

my buddies would have part time work during school, and what they would make in a week, id make in a day, so it was worth it so i could be a lazy bastard during uni :)
 
50 hours a week here easy.....

10-11 hour days mon-thu. 5-6 hour day on friday, and 4 hours on saturday.

if i actually didn't waste so much time on bullshit i'd be a rich mofo

for those of you who work 10 hour shifts, how do u have time for EF and going to the gym, and how many hours of sleep do u get a night

4 hours sleep straight is enough for me. Usually 2 hours is the average.

Sleep is overrated.

i work pretty much 24/7 since I have the laptop here at home as well as the cell.

this weekend Im presenting a training to our staff on Sat and Sun 9am-6pm so really there's no weekend for me.

And yeah 4-5 hours of sleep is a long night.

usually M-S and sunday off.

I dont work out really anymore as much. I made a thread about it. Post on EF? well I make 2-5 posts a week maybe? so ya I dont see any how anyone can 50,000 posts!!! geez

i sleep alot as I feel it is key. usually 7 hours a night
 
well damn, i work offshore, currently im working on my 7th straight week, 12 hr shifts, its very good money but im missing my girl after the 2nd day out here, and my peeps, you people got it made!

MountainMuscle has spent time as a driller, directional hand, and derrickman.

I'm a Geo working natural gas exploration. Right now I'm in Scotland. Spent 7 straight weeks working 12-20 a day earlier this year so I feel your pain man.

I put in on average 60 hours/wk - 6 days a week. Some days Ill work 15-17 hours and other days 5 or 6 it varries. Average about 5-6 hours of sleep a day. I use to say that I needed at least 7-8, then it dropped to 5-6, I still function without a problem, you just cant think about how tired you are. Sleep when your dead
